Hope they will drop some new stuff soon, got all their iOS stuff already
I know I'm a stuck record on all things MPE, but anyway, waiting for the day their synths go MPE, an Oberheim Xd and a Nord Lead and a JP8080 clone that are MPE would be marvelous (instabuys) .. one day hopefully
I've owned Discovery Pro for a hundred years. I love that synth.
Just bought OPL and I really like it...
@samu yeah that would be great!
@Bruques well yeah, really everything would be made mpe in an ideal world, and apple would make all their touch screens pressure sensitive!
@drez I only know their iOS stuff. These guys (this guy) is not great at interfaces, but he knows how to make a good-sounding emulation, it seems.
@lasselu OPL is so cool, so different. And 4000 presets, my god, haha
Ah now there's an idea in there,
so, because the pencil is the thing that is actually pressure sensitive, it would be reasonably doable to prototype 10 fingertip attached FSRs (force sensitive resistors), sort of skin tight thimbles probably connected to a megacheap microcontroller such as a Pi Pico, or Adafruit something so the pressure is registered that way round... until the day it gets built in to the screens making said prototyping redundant, but, for a while there's something in that! Probably some NIME conference paper already showing it being done somewhere... might check
I'd written it of as a chiptune kind of thing but since I could complete the bundle and get it cheap I decided to try it out...a decision I don't regret...
Huh, cool idea!
I don’t personally listen to Chiptune, but I find Chiptune synths fun to play around with. I suppose they give me nostalgia for the 80s computer games of my childhood. SquareSynth is another great one.

Certainly more portable than an Osmose
They have a number of synths on desktop (including a Nord Lead emulation) which could potentially be candidates to come to iPadOS…
That is what I'm referring to, Discovery Pro for iPad would be totally nuts
I’d love that.
As it’s several years since their last port to iOS, are any new ones likely?
Honestly, who knows other than the dev?
