Aftermath (dark melodic orchestral)

This is sort of a follow up to the excellent Urakami by @JanKun. My wife and I were talking and we agreed that there would be no war if not for governments. Most people just want to live their lives in peace, love their families and friends, and make a little money to buy a house. Unfortunately, there are always a few that feel the need to be in charge. If not for them there would be no war, and no nuclear weapons.

Glad to see my scary track associated with a beautiful heartfelt piece like this one. This is my favourite musical side of yours. The despaired melancholy mixed with craving for hope reminds me a lot of the dark energy soaking all the music from Godspeed!!! You Black Emperor, one of my all time favourite band.
If you don't know them, a good introduction is one of their first track called Dead Flag Blues, A social angst masterpiece with a desperate glimpse of hope for collective awareness.
We're a species with an exceptionally developed cortex, but we're basically a giant pack of socialized animals that needs leaders. Where I agree with you and your wife's conclusion is that the people composing our elected governments usually step forward for the wrong reasons and don't necessarily have the quality for the job. Great leaders should never ask to be leaders, they should naturally get recognised and designated by a whole community for obvious qualities. Sweet talk, untenable promises, populism, hypocrisy and demagogy are not in the package. So governance is definitely needed but our governments are bound to fail when their actions are guided by opportunistic greed.

  • I’m sorry to read that you don’t see the value of a good government.

The internet was funded by the government (DARPA). So much good comes from governments in times of natural disaster. Peace is managed by governments that agree to treaties and coalitions.

Darwin defined the world without Governance and it’s a cruel space without any assurance of safety.

Governments generally are the primary source of support for the poor and gravely ill. there’s no profit in it and the churches do tend to support their believers with some exceptions that actually follow the teachings of the truly God filled.

Governments can manage courts to provide a resource to aid in the misuse of power. I’m sure they fail frequently but they are still subject to the instructions of a government so having one provides a scheme for remedies.

People get the government they deserve. Not wanting one means you’re going to get one you really don’t want.

My wife and I tend to lay the fault for wars at the feet of leaders that are given unrestrained power and fanatical followers of those leaders that accept killing as approved and righteous.

As a citizen of the planet I feel we should oppose these War Lords and seek their downfall and trial for crimes against humanity.

Anyway, I’m sorry you feel that government is a broken concept when most people do live in peace and are protected by a reasonable government. We generally agree on who the really bad leaders are with some debate I’ll concede. 50+% can carry the day in that score.

Now I’ll listen to your music since it’s filled with wisdom I cannot fault.

  • Dry nice a bit dark and realistic

I will check out that band when I get home tonight. Thanks for the tip. I hope I didn't start a political thing, here! Thanks for listening.

  • Like it but I don’t want to act anymore on the creation section , we can encourage us together on Soundcloud

I think you may have misunderstood my point. I was only referring to war. I agree that government is necessary and has done much good. In fact, I am counting on one of the programs that I have been paying into for over 50 years! Anyway, I'll drop the politics and stick to music. However, you just gave me a great idea and the title for my next track. Stay tuned!

    I agree. Thanks for listening!

  • I didn’t find it dark in any unsettling, foreboding sense. Just very soothing and melodic. Very nice !

I was just thinking about the days and weeks after the bomb dropped. That was dark for me. This was about the rebuilding. Thanks for listening.
