Recording modulation in LP problem
I record some midi notes into LP, then, having done that I rewind and try to record some movements to say the mod wheel over the top of the recorded midi notes. This does not work - I cannot hear the recorded notes and indeed they are deleted.
Doing the exactly the same Cubasis, the movements to the mod wheel are recorded as expected, whilst leaving the original notes in place.
This seems to happen with the internal alchemy synth as well as externals such as GeoShred.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
Comments
In case it helps anyone, I think I’ve solved this. If you enable loop recording (I don’t know why this is necessary), the midi notes and mod wheel movements are both recorded from the separate takes. You have to ensure that in Settings/Recordings, Cycle On is set to Merge.
