This builds on the Step Sequencer idea by recording the overlayed sequences in Atom 2 and exporting MIDI for Import into Staffpad to drive Strings, Piano and Xylophone.
The drums are an audio export from Hip Hop Drummer.

Was hoping to hear your great voice telling us a story that only you hold the secret. For exemple, a story involving a phonebook a hareng and very little stones
Like the unexpected Staffpad usage.
Interesting use of Atom 2 - it worked out pretty well, didn't it!
I’m trying to identify StaffPad shortcuts to avoid pencil entry. Atom 2 is creating a nice bridge between my Mosaic scripts and Staffpad by using Import File of recorded MIDI.
It’s an excellent MIDI FX app for recording MIDI that seems stuck inside an AUM project. I need to keep mastering it to replace Musk Midi Player for the classic midi files I often use to demo PianoTeq Presets I make and share on that user forum. They are a quiet lot with few words and many downloads. Like 500+ I think. I stopped making them due to the lack of real community. Pianists tend to be self-
I just started using MIDI generative app to create layers and textures for ambient/drone and just tried one of your scripts. Forgot its name, but it basically transforms cc changes from a lfo to MIDI notes. It is working great, learning to tame the beast currently...
So many scripts on patch storage, my head's spinning... I don't really know what to pick for my use case. Some of the scripts descriptions are a bit cryptic for a beginner like me.
I got good value out of that LFO to Note (with notes being transposed in Rozeta Scaler by another LFO) and the resulting notes forced into a selectable scale in the process. Sine waves and triangles run scales up and down and sample and hold repeats notes and skips around in random intervals.
Using 3-4 of these setups can produce a nice bass line, coordinated melody and harmony by adding in transposition offsets for 3rd, 6th, for traditional chords, octave and 5th for power chords and 4ths or 7ths for modern harmonic or jazz textures.
True. I have re-visited some of the scripts I spent a week creating and I can’t figure out how to really use them to best effect. Most apps and scripts having learning curves that most are not willing to master without a lot of assistance. I still avoid Drambo and Logic Pro and ya-da, ya-da because I get more done just using the same tools I’ve built into my habits. Honestly, you have far more discipline with your music than I have ever deployed with one exception. When I prepped for my college recital. I worked by butt off to master an hour of music that was challenging, entertaining (for it’s difficulty if not it’s musical value) and at times… very beautiful. Needing to make money I went back through college and got an engineering degree to get health benefits and stable income.
Unfortunately I am not disciplined and tend to procrastinate a lot with my music. But allowing time is also what keeps me interested. You are actually a lot more disciplined than I am, you keep on producing/sharing music at a great pace.
It’s funny how we see something in others that we cannot see in ourselves. I recognize your strengths and you mine.
Then we fail to value our own. I think we might be right about each other and way off on ourselves.
😉
Oo, itchy! I like the unexpected introduction of the strings pad and the resultant break down. It’s crying out for some kind of avant garde off kilter rap over the top of it. Something like this:
