Maschine plus and AUM

Does anyone know if I can send individual pads to separate AUM channels? This way I can process each individual drum kit using FX apps. Or is maschine on AUM limited to only one channel?

  • Think it would need to be an audio interface over usb.

Maybe you can use as a midi controller.

  • Thanks - yeah I understand an audio interface is needed and Maschine plus can also be used as a midi controller - but I really would like to use Maschine sounds through its pads through separate AUM channels - like for example koala sampler AUv3 multi I/O - which lets you process individual drum sounds through individual channels

Not an expert but think the maschine would need to be seen in aum, as an audio interface.

  • You likely need two audio interfaces. One for M+ and one for iPad, and then interface the two. For example, using ADAT. Another option is something like an iConnectivity device to connect both iPad and M+. Not sure if that works with M+, but I have done this with desktop version of Maschine.

  • I had a Maschine plus yes it’s possible but you need two sound card you can also use only one sound card if you use an iConnect interface. And connect the iPad to one of the USB port and Maschine plus to the second usb port.

  • Oh great! Thanks so much!

Will it just be a stereo output and not multi channel ? Even with iconnect?

Maschine plugs into iconnect. Iconnect routes the usb to other usb ( the ipad )

How does ipad host know the different channel inputs of the maschine?

Unless the iconnect knows the character of the maschine and passes on the data via usb and to the host?
