iElectribe vs. Stroke Machine
These two apps were on my "wish list" for some time, and since they both recently were on sale for $9.99 (iElectribe still is through Sept. 8th), I was able to purchase both for the price of one.

I'm interested in how people use them, and which they prefer. Both of them are synthesis drum machines that are programmed with a per-instrument step sequencer, roughly similar to an 808.
My impressions on the two are very preliminary, but I feel like Stroke Machine is a more powerful/versatile sound designer, but suffers from audio glitches (at least on older devices) and a more intimidating interface. iElectribe isn't as deep, but has good sound quality like all Korg apps, and some cool effects - it runs more efficiently too.
Thoughts?

StrokeMachine is to me what iElectribe should've been in the first place. It actually combines and somewhat extends the functionality of both the HARDWARE EMX1 and ESX1 into a single touch screen interface. The latest update with the mixer and pad screens sent it over the top. Same can be said with the capabilities of the latest Gadget update. I can't ever see a use for iElectribe now that these are available.
Warning! SM came back to regular price.

Yeah, I'm hearing that from a lot of people. Oh well. I think I may still find some use out of iElectribe - at least it loads up and WORKS. I saw a suggestion for Stroke Machine that you can increase the frames to 1024 within the app and that's supposed to help.
I'm not hearing many kick or bass drum sounds in iElectribe, whereas you can make Stroke Machine sound pretty mean.
I agree with @synthandson iElectribe has got real character. I bought it last Xmas but only just started using it (I'm making all my music on the iPad be so my MacBook is broken).
I use the iMPC as my sequencer because it's old Skool and allows AudioPaste. The kicks are a bit $hit in iElectribe so practically never import any kicks. There are 4 synth sounds (one of them is kick, the others are mids/noise/random shit).
You might get some interesting sounds from the synths but I generally mute them or leave one on with some tweaked sound/groove.
I personally love the hats and claps and the different grooves you can get out of iElectribe. It's got some great FX too. Once I'm happy with my groove, I just export and layer over some kicks I make in either iMPC or another app. It really adds a pro touch to your beat.
Not every app is perfect - they all have their strengths and weaknesses. It's about getting the best bits out of them and putting it all together.
I ain't got Stroke Machine, but I might just check it out

Thanks for the description/endorsement! I agree with a lot of that. I don't regret the iElectribe purchase - it runs very well and I enjoy the Tube Gain and effects.
Looking for a thread to bump (rather than start a new one) to rave about Stroke Machine, which I just picked up. Thought this would be a good one because I am a fan of the iElectribe.
My early impressions of Stroke Machine are that it's flat out awesome. I stayed away from it mainly because I thought it was too similar to the iElectribe, at least from what I saw, but hands on this app is a serious beatbox machine. Creating your own sounds has an incredible amount of depth, and to top it all off it has modulation too.
In short the two apps have a similar feature set, but Stroke Machine expands on everything the iElectribe can do, giving you far more control of the individual sounds. I still very much like the iElectribe, but the depth of Stroke Machine is hard to deny.
