Oooeee! Midi Gesture Control app for Leap Motion (1 and 2) (not Glover), and its a bargain.
Well! This was a very welcome surprise.
(Spotted this on CDM.link)
(I had previously been using MiMu's app Glover, with a Leap Motion...)
1 There is a new Leap Motion, 2! For hand waving (Imogen Heap style) touchless / gesture control (of midi or other stuff)
https://www.ultraleap.com/product/leap-2/
2 Which comes with (finally!!!!) up to date software / driver for MacOS both silicon and intel, Windows users have been fine all along.
https://developer.leapmotion.com/tracking-software-download
and the main point:
3 Mr Geert Bevin of both Moog and Linnstrument renown, has released a £9.99 desktop app both Mac and Windows for doing Glover type Midi Gesture Controlling. Amazing, and an absolute bargain. And works (apparently. I'm yet to test) with both Leap Motion original and Leap Motion 2.
I wonder if it is remotely possible this could ever be an ipad app, but I suppose that comes down to Ultra Leap more than Mr Bevin.
Relatedly, Mary Mainsbridge has a 2022 book on this, Body as Instrument: Performing with Gestural Systems in Live Electronic Music. https://www.bloomsbury.com/uk/body-as-instrument-9781501369575/
(Annas Archive, is there, for the trybeforebuy "demo")
2nd Edition will probably need to add something about Mr Bevin's new app!

MusiKraken is an app that - amongst other features - allows MIDI gesture control.

Another great thing about it is that you get it both for Android and iOS.
Thank you. Great to know. I will test this out. I definitely prefer being able to not have to bring a laptop to gigs so I will be trying this, while simultaneously it should be noted Bevin's new app is remarkably efficient , low latency and the tracking of the new Ultra Leap software is super precise. As I say I'll be trying out both and probably using Musikraken at the end if nothing else because its iOS
Much appreciated
