Bargain. The inlays on the fretboard and soundboard are worth that alone. What a beautiful looking guitar.
Thank you 👍 well,I masked the fret board off and spent a few hours cleaning the frets with fine wire wool, fret eraser rubbers and bras so and they’ve come up really well.
I soaked the machine heads and hardware in wd40 which removed all the loose rust and carbon stuff. The gearing is nice and smooth. Interestingly, the patina that remains, I really like so I’m going to leave them as they are.
I’ve checked the neck and it’s straight as an arrow. I have strings here so I’m hoping to assemble it and restring it later today, time permitting. Also, the guitar is in A1 pristine condition. I think someone purchased to new and then left it in the case in an attic for 25 years!
Lol, the comment above looks like bras so!
The fretboard and soundhole inlays are absolutely beautiful - what a find!
I've got a Crafter 12-string that I bought for £100 in a second-hand shop. It's pretty bright sounding but the action is incredible, it plays as easily as my Les Paul.
Oh wow 👍
The general feeling I get is the Crafters punch way above their associated price range.
Holy smokes 🤩 the clouds on the fretboard are such a cool addition, and the moon cycles around the sound chamber.
For sure. Feel the same about Blue Ridge acoustics. In my experience anyway.
Wow! That's a beauty @Jonah66 - great find and excellent price!
I bought a TRV 23 about 18 years ago to travel around Asia with. It's taken a real good beating and still plays fine. Coincidentally, it's ended up residing in South Korea.
Wow, beautiful!! I must say though, I have used steel wool and erasers to clean frets but haven’t tried a bra. Does it work well?
As George Constanza so wisely said, “two cups in the front, two hooks in the back, how do they do it?”
Lol made I larf, thank you!
Frets turned out nice, just waiting for 12-53 strings tomorrow then that's it done.
Well done on the restoration, it looks amazing.
Thank you, as do all the Crafters posted here.
Awesome vinyl covered wooden vase included.
Really like the oxidation on the machine heads, they were originally gold coloured.
I’m generally not a fan of guitars with fancy adornments or acoustics with cutaways but that’s a lovely instrument. And a complete steal at that price. Hope it plays and sounds as good as it looks.
Cheers, new strings are arriving later today so I will know if it needs any more work doing but am quietly confident 👍
