A hardware jam: Chaos Machine
“When into the womb of time everything is again withdrawn chaos will be restored and chaos is the score upon which reality is written.” - Henry Miller, Tropic Of Cancer.
Played live into AUM: Soma Labs Rumble Of Ancient Times (fantastic name for a fantastic gadget!) running through the Wingie II resonator. Like the Wingie, another small, reasonably cheap (£136) box of wonders, but with the full complement of Soma madness present and correct. A little light reverb, no sequencing, no other apps.
You gotta love a gadget which has a button called Chaos right there on the front panel!
Enjoy?

Dont mean to sound annoying
but is it supposed to be panned?
Not especially. Besides, sounding annoying is my job. I guess you mean it is stronger on the left? I recorded in stereo, didn’t mess with the panning at all, it just turned out that way.
lol.
Sorry.
You arnt annoying.
Just thought Id say because its almost panned fully left. Theres a bit in the right ( on my headphones )
but its cool.
Hm. Don’t know why that happened. Thanks for pointing it out though.
No worries Svetlovska.
@sigma79 : Hopefully it is fixed now. I must have nudged a panning control in AUM or something…? If you can bear it, could you try a few seconds from your end and see if the balance is right now, in case there’s something weird going on with my AUM setup or phones or something?
Still panned.
Not sure if its because you panned instruments.
Not sure if now the less panned sound than the previous upload.
Is just effects on the other side ( which I doubt )
but still panned.
Ha. I’m stumped, then. AUM metering shows that it is balanced on output. My phones, my ears, tell me it is balanced on output. So: I’m stumped. I’m gonna just have to let this ride, and pay close attention on the next one, I guess. Thanks for trying to help.
FWIW, it sounds reasonably balanced in my headphones. 🤷♂️
Nice ambient drone piece this one 👍
