The Connect 6 would likely be even more attractive to iOS/iPadOS users if Lewitt bothered to do an iOS/iPadOS version of the Connect app which is used to control the interface...
Yes, happy to report that both devices see the analogue inputs at the same time. However, you do need to setup the routing in the desktop control app first.
EDIT: this is with 2 iPads, one connected to the interface’s ‘computer’ port and the second to the ‘mobile’ port.
See my screenshot below - I have (bottom right in pic) routed the analogue inputs to the hardware output / mobile in, then the Mobile In to the Mix (A) output (centre left in pic). When using with a DAW on desktop I would usually not have the 'Mobile In' going direct to the Mix.
'Out 1/2' is the output from my iPad connected to the 'computer' port on the interface - this sees all the inputs (1&2 + mic + mobile in) by default, I have also routed this to Mix A.
The control app is very intuitive (to me at least) and straightforward, no manual reading required. When you disconnect from desktop the settings persist.
One extra thing to report from my review above, I had unbalanced cables on the main outs for a while going to my mixer... sounded terrible, very noisy. All good with balanced TRS cables. Maybe that's obvious, but I'll say it anyway.
Here's the dropdown of what you can send to the 'Mobile' device:
Thank you very much @steve99 for this thread and detailed review of Lewitt.
I see there are some possibilities for adding FX there .... Is it also possible to add an equalizer to a specific output? I would like to compensate some frequencies on the main output and other frequencies on the headphone output.
@steve99 thank you so much! It kinda works like the iConnectivity Audio4c then, but I guess the preamps sounds better, less noisy as stated by some reviews I read! Thinking about buying a Connect 6 for my dual iPad set! Let's hope there will be more and more dual usb audio interface, so useful, idk why it's not a standard yet! :]
Can't see any way to put FX on the outputs, just on inputs 1 & 2.
Thanks!
Was the Lewitt designed by a Klingon.
It's actually very ergonomic on my desktop, easy to grab the control wheel and make required adjustments. Maybe I've got Klingon hands though...
So true.
The problem with Lewit is that, phone output is high impedance ,so it will bloat bass around 80hz with lower impedance headphones.
There are two questions I would have. I don’t use a computer with my setup. Just a couple of iPads. Will this interface automatically be happy connecting them up without configuring anything? the other question is do I have to connect to the Internet at the start of every session that I am connecting an iPad or iPhone? I like a lot of what this is capable of, just wondering if anybody knows how practical this is without a computer involved in the setup.
If you require the control app to set this configuration up then I agree with @Samu about having a iOS version of the controller app. Sometimes you need to reset things because, well you know…the digital age and all….and without a computer at hand this might be a difficult thing to achieve.
I got this last week and am happy with my purchase.
However, without a computer, you'll not be able to use their app which is really powerful.
I got it to connect my computer and iPad a the same time. However, my iPad is lightning port and it didn't work using the USB-C USB-camera adapter. I think it might need a direct USB-C connection to iPad. (have to wait until I upgrade my iPad to take full advantage of this)
So Im using my old 2i2 interface connected to iPad and the outs connected to the AUX in on the Connect 6. The I have the OUT form Connect 6 to the IN of 2i2 and use a mini mixer to control what I want fed into iPad. It works well.
I did plugin the connect to computer connection to the USB-camera adapter and my iPad mini powered it and I could see all the input in AUM.
It would be great if there was an iOS app. Would make this perfect in so many ways.
You don’t need the camera adapter for it to work with lightning, a direct cable works fine. Lewitt make a lightning to usb-c, but mine also works fine with a generic one.
Edit: I also tried with a usb-c to lightning adapter (with the supplied usb-c cable) it worked for a while, then gave up.

I agree, the desktop app is a pleasure to use - and so desktop/ios is the best combo. @Mountain_Hamlet if you are using 2 iPads only, I’d say the Joyo Momix Pro is probably a better option
@steve99 - thanks. Didn't know about the separate cable. However I also need to connect my midi controllers and am using the Camera adapter for this. I'll try again to see if I can get this working.
I recently got the CME H4Midi so there may be a way I can connect the controllers to the computer and use on the iPad.
More experimenting for me to do tonight
UPDATE: Just plugged my USB to lightning phone cable form Lewitt to iPad and I can see Connect 6 in AUM!!
UPDATE 2: Really hit and miss with my phone charger cable. Worked first time. But now I can't get it to work. It appears in Lewitt software but no signal/doesn't show in AUM.
@dmori that sounds like what was happening with my usb-c to lightning adapter. Worth trying the lewitt cable if you think your lightning iPad has a reasonably long life.
I miss the shared midi (that studiomux provided), but Bluetooth midi is mostly sufficient for my needs.
It said the Lewitt cable had PD - and I had to look up what that is. I remembered buying a charger cable last year that was still boxed and in the draw. When I looked at it, it was inddeed a PD (power delivery) cable with 240W power.
So I tried it with a USB-A adapter - and it works!!
It's got an auto disconnect feature which switches it off after about 30 minutes - but I just unplug/re-plug to restart.
So thanks so much @steve99 . Without your reply I would never tried this. Really happy, as I'm able to use the Lewitt 6 as I'd hoped.
I've been getting into Bluetooth midi too. I've got 2 controllers using it, but I do have an unused Widi Uhost - so I'm wondering if this could make the H4Midi device fully Bluetooth (more experimenting to do!)
