Also… I haven’t done extensive testing with this second thing but it seems like when I slow the speed of a loop, but then speed it back up to normal speed, the pitch seems higher then it was originally when it started in the middle. Almost like it sets the new normal when you pitch down, then continues to pitch up further than the knob did initially. I hope this makes sense, lol. I know the speed directly effects the pitch, but it almost sounds like once you slow it down, then speed it back up you can make it faster then you could initially Maybe it’s me, or some auditory illusion, I don’t know. It just seemed to get really high after I slowed it down, then sped it back up. Just thought I’d mention it to see if anyone else noticed something similar.

thanks, I didn't notice this behavior - need to check

I have no real proof, and I might be mistaken. I’ll run a few more tests soon to see if I notice it again. Basically I would change speed on all 3 loops and jam with fx, tinker while it played, then after a bit I would change all the speeds again to make something different from same factory loops. The one time i really thought I noticed it, was with one of the factory pad loops, I had it slowed down awhile, then when i sped it up to the high end, it seemed to get really, really high in pitch. Maybe it was just a misperception of the audio, from being slowed down awhile then pitched up. Maybe it was that particular pad sound. But it was something i immediately took note of, because the pad sound was basically too high to use when sped up 75-80%, and at the time it seemed higher then it originally sounded the first time, when I was setting the speed. I’d hate for you to waste too much time on this, cause I’m unsure, I just know it stood out to me at the time. I just wanted to mention in case others noticed it, for possible corroboration, or at least let you know so you can keep an eye on it. It happened a few days before I originally posted it.

I was in standalone on iPhone 13 Pro iOS 16.6 when it happened, might have been the previous most OS version just before I recently updated I can’t remember.

I probably should have ran additional tests first.. well…. you live you learn.

Thank you very much - all is fine. If you find any other issues, I would be very grateful

  • I ran another test last night and didn’t notice anything. Sorry if I caused any inconvenience.

This must've slipped under my radar because I'm only just reading about this app now. Looks very cool! Right up my street

  • @sevenape Heard from the dev last week he said the new beta was due to drop within the week.

    Boom!

  • New beta now out.

  • Is this in public beta yet or just a small group to keep the info flow manageable? I’ve been looking forward to this one.

    Is it the iPad beta!?

  • Hello everyone!
The final beta is out, now available for iPhone, iPad standalone and AUv3. Among other things, we've implemented synchronized playback with BPM for samples and more.
Anyone who would like to participate in the beta testing, please send us your Apple ID emails via direct message, and we will send you an invitation.

You can check out the new manual at this link.

  • that's very interesting, thanks for sharing the manual

  • @Froggo_Lab Any chance you can add the birds sounds back into the beta they were very interesting to add into drones.

At the moment, the sample library is introductory, we have not yet dealt with this task, the final release will have a large and interesting library, there will be birds and much more :) by the way, who knows if it is possible to download free samples from the Internet and use them in our application? This is like a commercial use and there may be problems with copyright holders? But in any case we will write many sounds ourselves in the studio

  • Super excited to dive in more fully. Didn’t get the chance yesterday but will try tomorrow. Love this one, think it’s gonna be big.

  • Froggo_Lab: bigups. looks close to release.
    any eta for release date/price?
    thnx

    Hi!
The release date depends on how quickly we fix all the bugs. It turns out there are some inconsistencies with AUv3 in various iOS DAWs. Let's hope everything will be ready by this spring.

About the price — we're thinking around $15-20.

  • thanks Froggo_Lab
and looking fwd to use it and abuse it in our live acts.
    :)

Sweet looking fwd to diving in. Good luck sorting out the DAW issues.

  • Really really enjoying this, it’s great fun and experimental. Wish it supported drag and drop for the samples though…

Thank you! Drag and drop will definitely be implemented over time, it's just a matter of wanting to release sooner

Very cool app! Please make the ability to dial in fine increments on things like waveform frequency better though! It's difficult / impossible to get the frequency exactly right in many cases, as the knobs don't allow fine enough dialing in. Combustor by Beep Street has a great implementation of that - vertical for coarse changes, horizontal for fine, and it is easy and fast to dial in any Hz value in the spectrum!

Hi! Thank You! We've considered this, so there's a fine-tuning feature available.
Just press that button, and all the knobs will adjust very slowly.
Also, in the app settings, you can adjust the sensitivity of the knobs

Ah great! I clearly need to revisit the manual!

  • (2021 iPad Pro 11 inch with latest iOS) Will email as well. First, this is looking really good. Although, I am having issues with battery drain because the app continues to run in the background. I did go to settings and turn off background audio - but no luck. A couple of times returning to a project, I get filename is offline for both user samples and in app samples. Is there a way to preview the sample you are importing? I have not found an option that allows that and as someone that collects a lot of samples it's hard to know which sample I want without a preview. Great works so far!

    Thanks for finding the problems!

Also sample previews are a good idea, we'll think about it

are you talking about standalone or AUv3 version?

So far standalone. Will test more as an auv3.
