Have I been First Fanned ?
My latest creation Clock Hypothesis appears to be on its way to becoming a major hit 😊
Obviously this is because it’s a finely crafted masterpiece but possibly it may have been selected by SoundClouds algorithms for its new ‘First Fans’ initiative ?
To be honest I’m not 100% sure but in a nutshell this is what they say they are doing ‘ We’re starting by recommending your tracks to around 100 people with listener profiles that align with your music’ and here is the link for more details…

The odd thing is that the number of plays (a massive 124 vs my normal up to 30ish) doesn’t tally with the plays when I add them up via insights. Perhaps the act of recommending counts as a play?
Anyway has anybody else noticed this or am I just a lucky Guinea Pig?
