Drambo Enable/Disable AUv3 with Loopy pro
When I use loopy pro with AUM or standalone I like to have effects and plugins I am not using mostly always off to save resources. I set follow actions to either mute or bypass effects and instruments after they record. Is there a way to do this in Drambo without having to use the mute function or instrument rack to manually enable or disable things?

I'd like to know this, too. So far I use the enable switch in the menus of the racks in Drambo. Would be nice if there were a better way without having to open the menu.
What is the Loopy Pro aspect of this?
I think you're asking about Drambo independently, not in relation to Loopy or AUM, right? If so, then I don't think there's an easier way.
I also don't think that reduces resources in the same way it does in Loopy Pro. Loopy is special in that can "Idle" plugins, almost completely freeing up resources. I don't think Drambo does that to anywhere near the same extent, and I'm not sure if AUM does now or not. It didn't use to, but that may have changed recently.
I’m running loopy pro AUv3 inside of Drambo. Using CCs to control things in Drambo and loop audio.
When you disable a plug-in it doesn’t free up any resources in Drambo? When you mute or bypass plugins in Loopy or Aum it does make the CPU usage go down.
That is my understanding, at least as regards AUv3 plugins. I would think disabling native Drambo modules would free up resources but I don't know. As for AUM, it didn't used to be that way, but I'm pretty sure I remember it being updated to release resources not too long ago.
I'm no Drambo expert. If no-one who knows better chimes in here, you may want to ask that question on the Beepstreet forum.
As far as I know , only Loopy frees up resources — does AUM do it now? It didn’t used to but maybe I missed a new feature.
I think it changed in the update below. I can't say if the resources are as extensively freed as in Loopy Pro or not.
Yea I actually didn’t realize loopy pro was putting effects in idle mode until relatively recently. I would always have follow actions and buttons to disable everything when not in use. Don’t know how I missed that. In Aum and loopy pro it does help A LOT to disable instrument plugins. Having a follow action to do this after it records is just great. Yea I think I will try looking at the beep street forum as well. Thanks
For confirmation, this does not seem to be the case as of v2.26 / v2.27(16). All AUv3’s I’ve tested still process audio while bypassed. Either a regression or feature never fully implemented.
Hi. I have the current iOS version of AUM, 1.4.5, and it definitely does idle bypassed AUv3 plugins. Which app are you referring to?
Edit: Aha, I see that you mean Drambo. I believe the quoted item was referring to AUM.
My bad for not specifically calling out that it was AUM. I can see how that could be misread since this is a Drambo titled thread.
Ohh, hah. My bad
