NEW RELEASE with Intro Price

"Cali Axis is an arsenal of the most powerful guitar tones now available in standalone and plugin format"

PREAMPLIFIER
Nembrini Audio Cali Axis All Tube Guitar Amplifier plugin is based on Mesa Boogie TriAxis* preamplifier.

Eight separate modes deliver the elusive creamy gain of the Mk I, the heralded focus of the Mk I, the scooped Rhythm of the Mk IV, and a modified British lead mode. But these are just a few of the classic sounds at your fingertips.

FX SECTION
Select, enable and change the order of the single FXs.

POWER AMPLIFIER
Powered by four EL34 virtual tubes with presence, resonance, volume and power switch in class AB push-pull configuration. MODERN button change the negative feedback in a way to have a more "modern" presence behaviour.

DIGITAL DELAY
FILTER make the delay Lo-Fi and OFFSET create a time offset in left/right delay sections

ANALOG MODULATIONS
select Chorus or Tremolo modulation

AMBIENT REVERB
Hall reverb algorithm

FILTER A/B
TIGHT : Clockwise rotation reduces low frequency content tightening the low range, suitable for 7/8 strings guitars.
RUMBLING : Clockwise rotation reduces low trequency content.
HARSH: Clockwise rotation reduces high frequency content.

ANALOG NOISE GATE
tuned for guitar and bass with GATE speed control

STUDIO COMPRESSOR
keep your dynamics in check, whether just thickening the sound or keeping levels consistent

Works as a standalone app, AudioUnit v3 effect, or Inter-App Audio effect.

  • Looks interesting and versatile!

  • I guess this completes the set of the most popular guitar racks from back in the day..
Listened to all of the sound demos.. covers a lot of tones.. hmmmm… 🤔

  • I don’t have a real guitar but I sent Riffler audio using (Clean, Dry) tone, no reverb/delay mono. sounds really good versatile rock metal sounds. Up there with their Extasy amp, also good. The built in FX and filters in Cali Axis give it easy quick color and variety

  • I see little buzz about this. Remember the excitement when Nembrini rolled out their first amp? Think it was the psa1000, technically a preamp.

I note that the combo of that and the junior version, for desktop, are currently selling for $30 - just $4 more than the appstore bundle price. Are people getting tired of endless iterations of amps? I know if I was using an electric guitar with my ipad, I would be.

I surprised this individual amp app thing is still being pushed by Nembrini. As far as I'm concerned the one-off amp/effect deal has been superseded by apps like Tonex and MixBox.

Nembrini amps in general sound great and they're very easy to dial in. Tonex has a vocal following, but I find the user experience a disaster; all I can think of when I use Tonex is that This thing is built to sell me more features. I tend to reach for an amp that will make the sound I'm hearing. Tonex is like walking into the Hollywood guitar center on a Saturday afternoon. I personally find MixBox amps to be uninspiring. For what it's worth, I think the TH-U amps are really great sounding, but again, the UX is just awful and inspiration-killing.

That said, I find this a weird choice for an amp to model. I'd personally like to see more weird little boutique amps.

  • 20 years ago, I was a huge fan of Slayer, Pantara, System of a Down, Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, Lamb of God, etc, etc.

But the last 10 years, I only played electric guitar on clean (with reverb, delay, chorus, compressor, phaser, etc). Not sure why 99% of the electric guitar plug-in demos are with distorsion and or overdrive.

    I may be weird.

Anyways, this plug in looks cool!

  • I’ve been using mostly Tonex lately, although I’m no fan of its UI. Yesterday, I spent some time playing a couple of the Nembrini heads through a few different OwnHammer cab IRs. Man, what a great sound and feel. The OwnHammers make all the difference. Even Logic Pro’s Amp Designer sounds decent when run through an OwnHammer.

I keep hoping Nembrini will publish one or two smaller combo-style amps instead of more of these loud, gainy, muscle machines.

That's exactly my feeling ; no more nembrini's amp sim purchase for me (or perhaps if they release THE clean tone one day).

I really like their BST100 or Extasy and very often chosed them, but I have (re)discover Amplitube for ipad (full 2022 unlock), which was sleeping lost in a even more lost folder,... and since then never have reopen any other simulation. It's a shame that it's only IAA and will probably stop working one day "soon", but this thing sounds so good without any headache or IR ; I just have to remember to open it before any host.

Both PSA 1000 apps are great app that can be really usual not only on guitar or bass. They can bring nice flavour on a drum bus or even synths.
I personally find their recent choices of amp very boring and too oriented towards higain. But their Vox AC30 and the Overdrive Special are two of my favourite amp sims on iOS. If they released sims of smaller wattage amps like a 57 twin champ or vox AC 15 or something from Toneking I would definitely buy though.

Couldn't agree more. A fender 57 custom champ or blues junior, vox AC 15. S Nembrini, smaller amp with nice breakup please. We got tired of higain!!

Yeah I’d be way more tempted if they were to start cloning some of those weird old boutique amps from back in the day. I only have a couple of their amps but I have most of their other effects and they’re all fantastic. I’m definitely a Nembrini fan, but since I don’t have space for my guitars anymore I don’t really need any new amp sims unless they’re completely unique.

  • I like the single amp model concept. Simple interface no billion features. I have about 6 of their amp and that covers most of what I need. Maybe I would buy one or 2 more clean amps.

Either they are coming out with high gain because it sell or it's what their team enjoys.

    Isn't Nembrini himself a metal guy? I'd expect that's a major factor
