Loopy pro and Hx stomp problem

edited July 2023 in Loopy Pro

Hello
I’m new to the loopy users and hope anyone here can help me with an issue.
I set up my hx stomp to send midi cc messages 1,2 and 3 with values 127 on ch.1. (Also tried with note on, same results)
Loopy (on Ipad 9)has midi learned these correct.
But when inpress an hx stomp switch the donuts blink on and off very fast. The clear all clips widget button also bugs out sometimes and doest’t always clear all clips as if the hx stomp switches are being pressed continously…
I’m connected over usb.
Testing with an ampero control works perfectly but i would rather not use it to save pedalboard space… also what i noticed is that with the ampero control while midi learning loopy detected a press as a hold for all buttons, which loopy did not for the hx stomp.

Any ideas?

  • Tested on iphone, same problem but here loopy detects a press in midi learn as a double press…

  • ok solved
Turns out the hx stomp midi through was enabled and caused the output of the stomp to glitch over usb…

What happened was a midi loop. Loopy sends feedback to controllers by default. You can also disable feedback to a controller in Control Settings.

Ok thank you! Will try this because i would like to use the midi thru function on the stomp to connect to other devices over 5pin midi.
