What’s the best A.I. Instrument/Vocal separation for iOS. I need a good one
I’m searching for a good A.I. instrument/vocal separater for iOS. I want to know if someone has tried multiple A.I. apps for instrument separation and what’s the best in your opinion that has a onetime payment, no subscription. I was also wondering about Let’s Unmix and Let’s Unmix Audio Unit. Whats the better one of the two. It seems the regular non-AU Let’s Unmix is more popular than the AudioUnit one. I’ve never tried them so I don’t know. And if there’s more better options than Let’s Unmix. I don’t know if they’re high quality instrument separaters. So please let me know. I think Let’s Unmix AU is the only audiounit app, that’s good it’s AU, but if there’s more better ones, then I don’t care that it’s AU. I do have a feeling that there are some high quality iOS ones and what would be the best option that separates them perfectly. I’ve only used SoundLab and that’s a vocal separater and the vocal has small traces of instruments in it left over , and the same for the instrumental has little traces of the vocals in it too. I noticed on SoundLab that some songs are different. Are all the AI separaters gonna do this, is it normal for any A.I. to leave behind traces and does the song matter as well.

I just use the one in Koala.
I have not looked too deeply into it but it seemed last time this came up the conclusion was that on iOS they all pretty much use the exact same open source algorithm.
Thanks I’ll I’ll look for that thread now
Transcribe + and Ruffio are 2 more that do what you’re asking.
It seems that there are artifacts with the isolated tracks on most songs but it comes away cleanly enough to be able to articulate what you’re listening to.
My greatest complaint is that the bass does not reproduce well when separated and that’s an issue for me as that is my main instrument.
Thanks for letting me know. I was surprised to find Ruffio for free. I just downloaded it.
I didn’t know Koala had one. I don’t even remember coming across anything A.I. I’ll have to go check it out again
And have you tried Drums Extractor. It’s made by the same dev who made Let’s Unmix. I just came across that one. I wonder if it’ll separate the bass good enough too or if it’ll only read kicks
have you tried djay pro? sadly it doesnt match your requirememts being subscription, but the stem separation is one of the good ones..
yes they all leave traces. my understanding is the process is a bit like trying to get the oats out of the yoghurt without any yoghurt on them. or like how in photoshop you can do all you want to lasso select accurately a persons hair to cut them from a background but some odd few pixels of not hair are either coming with or you are leaving some hair behind, either way the wispy bits get clunky. or something like that
Demucs V4 is amazing

I’ve heard of Djay Pro. But yea it’s a subscription so it out the question. I had just remembered that RemixLive by MIXVIBES has A.I. Remix iap for 20$, it’s a vocal & instrument extractor. But your gonna need and would have to buy the Import/Export iap separate at 7$ in order to export your extracted stems out. It’ll probably be better to get the Special Deal Bundle along with Song Mode iap cuz you could use everything in that bundle for your A.I. experience will help. OK it’s set, I think I’ll go with that option and I might even buy the whole RemixLive app FX and all that. I can’t believe I forgot they had the AI. The downside is that RemixLive is expensive if you want each feature.
Unfortunately Drums Extractor collects data. I try to limit\avoid as many of those as I can. Thanks though.
Is Djay Pro's stem separation really better than the various others on iOS? In the past, I read that it used the Spleeter technology that everything else uses.
Desktop only, but RiPx is way better than all the Spleeter based options
I've never done a head to head. I was under the impression its proprietary, but I could be wrong. I did see a head to head a while ago of VDJ, Serato, and Djay Pro, comparing their real-time stem separating and the opinions were that VDJ sounded best, but of those only DJay Pro is on iOS. I think with any of these, you'd want to try a few tests before spending anything at all given that Spleeter is right there.
