AUM Template - Transport Controls using Surface Builder

Here's an AUM project that uses Surface Builder to control AUM transport. If you have Surface Builder installed, it will load up and be ready for use. I know there are plenty of other scripts out there for AUM transport, including a very nice Mozaic one on Patchstorage, but this little setup works quite well for me.

Pictures of it below show it loaded in AUM in a stopped state, and also in a started state. The Start/Stop button is a toggle and changes color and the label changes to Started when the transport is running.

  • Nice… thanks for sharing. It loaded up without any surprises.

I’m at a loss to understand how to use the Previous Bar, Next Bar in AUM. Are there additional apps you use
that benefit from these controls? It would be nice to add a start/stop button that also triggers recordings.
The typical AUM controls for these functions are pretty small and prone to missing the target so bumping up the size of your buttons is something I’d probably do right away.

Previous Bar/Next bar is helpful when I want to do a quick and short rewind or fast forward while playing. You can, of course drag and hold across the transport area to move through the timeline, but I have a hard time controlling it. I'd like to add some more controls to it, so I'll see what else might make sense. This was basically an experiment to make something that worked, and if it generates interest, I'll keep expanding upon it. Of course, anyone here is free to take it and run with it too!
