How to “Pinch to zoom” in Logic Pro for iPad with Apple Trackpad?

edited October 2023 in Logic Pro

When using a trackpad I would like to zoom in the main view, and in the midi editor, to get a more detailed view.

https://support.apple.com/en-lb/guide/logicpro-ipad/lpipfdd2e00b/ipados says

Trackpad: Use the same gestures as on your touchscreen

I cant make it work, any advice?

  • WOOT? A Poll? I’m gonna fill that out. ASAP.

  • Yeah external track pad has not worked this far

  • Logic Pro fo iPad update 1.1 fixes this to some extent, but only horizontal pinch seems to work.

Can somebody test a trackpad on a keyboard and tell me if vertical pinch works?

To be clear: I can make tracks longer and shorter, but not make them taller.

Great. Does anybody know if there’s a way to make the Apple trackpad pinch vertically?
