Recording iPad/iPhone into Mac
Since i explored that apple removed the line in feature of the headphone jack in the retina macbooks (another stupid downgrade from apple) i ask me if there is a way to workaround this limit via an adapter or so. I still try to avoid another big hardware piece in front of me. I know the price will be a lower quality input but that would be fine for now.

iOS8 will allow you to use you iOS device as sound source selectable in the Sound settings in System Preferences making it easy to record digitally what ever sounds your iDevice produces, yippee!![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
All that is needed is the lightning USB cable.
Hopefully we'll know when IOS8 is ready for prime-time after Tuesdays Apple-Event...
Until then guess recording AudioBus -> AudioShare will do...
Can you share where you found that info?

It was all over the place and mentioned in one of the WWDC14 seminars regarding making app-previews.
Here's another article.

Notice that you can select the iPhones as 'Microphone' in one of the screenshots.
On Tuesday we'll know when![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

It looks like Apollo Remote Recorder could be a useful tool. But if it supports wifi audio streaming (in feature version) then it's a must buy utility...
Thank you guys![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)

@Samu: Woah, that would be great. I heard something about it but i was not sure if it's true. Of course this would make sense and finally super easy to record my iOS gems into Logic Pro X. Maybe i forgive Apple then that i had 2 broken iPad Air's (yep, i'm using my third one now) and hold it as Logic remote (works great) and digital hardware synth. Lurking for that iPhone 6.... this time really more as smartphone instead of a music machine
Tomorrow's event looks set to yield a few surprises. Can't wait. Bigger iPhone? Love the current size. Just about right.
