A minimal ambient drone.
Inspired by @Gavinski and his latest wonderful drones I did a thing. It's a bit more hopeful than my last thing. Was aiming for less tension. Anyway it's made just with fundamental going into lunar lander hosted in AUM. The title is the Italian word for dropping off slowly after a meal. Amazing what you can do with a few sines.
I love lunar lander. I wish I could get the IAP back.

Popped in for a nice drone and got it - very mellow this one, perfect for drifting off to after a meal! - and also a lovely namecheck too, thanks Dan!
Is this vid from the Internet archive btw, as usual?
Oh thanks!!!! Um this one is a video called 1980s Japan I think, from archive yeah. There are a few for different countries.
Nice piece of work with great use of audio/visual.
Great piece. Interesting combination of your magnificent drone with images of Japan from the Shōwa period.
Thank you!!! I'm super happy you like it!!!
Very cool. And excellent use of archive footage. Drones and vehicles or people in motion always go well. I love the way that one’s brain immediately starts searching the frame to make connections between the suspense of the drone and the randomness of the imagery. Reminds me a little of the effect on the viewer of the hugely extended single shot opening of Michael Haneke’s Hidden (aka Cache). The drone somehow suggests that what we are seeing is not everything that is actually going on, that these people are performing something, that there is another, truer story to be uncovered, somehow.
Also, a +1 for Lunar Lander. After Alteza (strictly for reverb only), it is my fave go to delay/reverb, with a distinct sound all of its own. Such a shame it has gone from the store.
Nothing really happens and yet it still holds your attention for 9 minutes 🤨 Excellent 👌
Cool one and it works pretty nicely with the footage : good drone stuff !
Thanks so much for listening!!!
Very nice work indeed. Well done.
Love the visuals (I visited some of the temples on the opening part of the video back in 2017 so it was nice to see them again). The drone also works very well, giving it a sense of looking back in time.
Thanks so much!!!
Thank you!! Yeah I was there a few years ago too! I think that's why I chose it!
Love this! So much with so little (audio), and very trippy in conjunction with the visuals.
Is it a Japanese video around 1970-80?
I was soothed by the nostalgic images and wonderful sounds. thank you.
Thank you!! Sometimes I just wanna use fundamental xx
Yes it's that! I think it's called simple Japan in the 1980s! Thank you! Xx
I get the urge occasionally now (didn’t for a long time, for obvious reasons), indeed had a play with it in conjunction with the MoogerFoogers recently. Possibly likewise sparked by one of @Gavinski ‘s videos, thinking about it. I have a few saved patches for it I could do with using. It’s a shame what happened about it, as it was and is an interesting app.
Yes it's a real shame. It's why I've stuck with the first version, I imagine that even the big H still uses it so I don't feel guilty. Coupled with the audiothing apps it feels like a virtual radiophonics studio! I guess that was the point
Some great drones in this one! I love Fundamental and Thermo both. Lunar Lander is great as well but I never got the IAP for it. It’s still great for what it can do.
Thank you! Yes fundamental and thermo spit are fantastic apps. Lunar lander is my favourite "space echo"!
I need to dive more into Thermo. I don’t know it nearly as much as I do Fundamental but I love both. And I surprisingly really enjoy the Fundamental Origins app. The simplicity is nice.
Shame about Lunar Landers fate. I think it’s one of the best effects on all of iOS but it’s a ticking time bomb now that it’s basically abandoned.
