N.P.R. (80s shred inspired)

Been listing to Paul Gilbert and nuno bettencourt lately. NPR is my take on Paul Gilbert’s YRO and BRO songs except mine stands for nuno Paul ripoff. Disclaimer I am not in the same league as either of those guys.
This track was recorded with cheap tc electronic twin interface and audio evolution on my iphone 14

Great work and nice to have a post from you again !

  • I really enjoyed this and a few others on your SoundCloud page. I always wanted to play in a metal band, but never got the chance. I did, however, get an opportunity to record some music with a guitarist named Tony Iovino. I just reposted a track that we did about 25 years ago called ‘Sarasvati’. Your styles are similar and I think you might enjoy it. I hope you get a chance to listen. In the meantime, keep shredding!

  • Loved Mr. Big back in the day! You MAY not be in that league, but that is a nice league you are in! Very tight! Did you program all the drums yourself?

Your boy could definitely play. I really dug your guys track. Sucks so few people seam to enjoy fusion these days. Truth be told I much prefer it to other forms of instrumental music. Anyway thanks for listening, I’ll keep practicing I have a new classical style guitar piece I’m working on now. I’ll try to finish it some day and post it

Unfortunately I did program the drums, i wish the humanize function for midi actually worked. It is so hard to try and make them sound real. No mater what they always sound so stiff.

  • I think I heard a spot where you could have added a little more guitar … lol sorry I can’t keep a straight face! That was awesome!
