Is there any ios app that can reverse a midi track - meaning all midi notes and their timing will be reversed.

Thanks

  • Wow, great question. But I am a midiot, so cannot answer.

  • Imaginando LK with the Matrix IAP.
LK's MIDI import works quite well and clips can be up to 999 bars long.
A shout out to @sinosoidal for that great sequencer!

    You'll find the function here:

  • Wow awesome, thanks. let me check that out.

So mirror horizontal is what I am looking for I guess.

Have never thought about mirroring vertically, great option to have.

  • Atom 2 also has that x and y axis mirroring, though it seems no longer to be in active development in the way that LK is, so I wonder if LK is now a safer choice? Not sure

I’d go so far as to say that Atom 2 seems abandoned. It has been 2 years since the last update.

Yes, sadly, it very possibly is, and I know you're not the type to casually call an app abandoned, Ed. Wonder what happened there, the dev was so active and passionate about it. Maybe dayjob got too busy and income from Atom2 just dried up after the initial release?

I have no idea what happened. I hope he is ok.

I held out hope for a long time that after a break, he'd return. Bit it has been a long silence now,

He wouldn't be the first developer of an ambitious app to take stock and find that the grind was not fulfilling enough to continue given the meager financial rewards. The pressure of people's expectations can also wear people down.

Just talked to Victor the Atom2 dev, it is not abandoned and he's fine. May have more info soon, but hopefully that will be good to hear for now at least

  • Xequence 2 can flip horizontally and vertically as well.

  • The same thing happened with Atom 1.
It had some shortcomings that needed the app to be rewritten.
The dev went silent for a very long time.
Atom 2 eventually appeared, as promised, recoded and much more powerful.
It still has some shortcomings regarding automation editing, and the dev has said it’s happening but has gone quiet for another long while.
I still believe it will get updated, but I don’t eagerly wait for it. It will happen when it happens.
