  • cool have to look at that one

  • Logic Pro has the Scripter MIDI plugin with (I think) similar capability to Mozaic. Only usable in Logic, of course.

Audulus 4 has a DSP node that allows you to write DSP code for both audio and control signals in Lua.

Fwiw, in Audulus , there is no need to use the DSP node to create audio effects— most Audulus users will never need to touch it. It provides experts a way to code some DSP processes that would be difficult with the standard nodes. But very few people need to use them. You can do tons and tons without the DSP node.

  • There’s a synth app called VividShaper where you can provide Lua (a C like language) to create waveforms and add FX. In also has a Machine Learning feature has was trained on 4,000 waves. You can input an X,Y pair and recall that wave. It’s fun to move through the X,Y space and hear the waves morph. It comes with about 40 examples (Presets really) that demo its features and showcase the results.

Lua has a rich set of math routines embedded so it’s an interested tool to teach math and programming and tie it all to sound as the reason to care about the math. How do you navigate a circle in an X,Y space with math? Trigonometry. What do multiple sine waves added at rates 1,2,3,4… sound like (overtones).

I’m hoping for an update with more features. @VividSynths is the developer and he programs for fun.
