Sorry, all the guitar sounds are iFretless. Guitarism doesn't have a nylon string patch yet. I was just trying to prove to myself that 1. you could play something fairly realistic, and 2. that you could capture the playing in midi and therefore edit it later. For example Guitarism doesn't do alternate bass patterns very easily, but if you record one bass note in midi, you can always recreate the alternating bass notes later.
Thanks for Thievery Corporation recommendation. Very interesting.
The new Thievery Corporation's album is called Saudade.
From NPR:
"Among the messages of Saudade is that the aura of classic bossa nova, circa Astrud Gilberto, shares aesthetic affinities with the pathos of Edith Piaf, the anguish of Cuban bolero, the pillow-talking maneuvers of Serge Gainsbourg — traits that, if handled with sensitivity, can be recombined and re-contextualized in illuminating ways. ... You can't just order up saudade. There's no setting for it on a drum machine; no software emulation available."

Saudade is an interesting concept. There was a visiting tango dancer here talking about something similar. We were looking at it's similarities with the flamenco concept of duende.
I'm guessing you know of Danger Mouse. Just reminded me of his stuff with musicians from Italian film music.
I just checked out his Italin album Rome on Spotify. Cool stuff.
Thanks for mentioning thievery corporation. Didn't know saudade. Beautiful!!

On the topic of realistic strumming on an iDevice, I purchased an inexpensive plectrum shaped padded stylus. I find it is easier to strum with this pick versus a thumb. It is easier to get the timing right.
Where did you get it?
