  • This is some proper Flintstones techno drone.

  • All that labor and craftsmanship just to make a 20-second drone sample.

Counterpoint: All those apps bought, hardware agonized over, noises, loops and samples organized and ideas started, just to make a 20-second drone sample.

I might be odd, but I’ve long pondered how to synthesise this noise and never got close, any ideas? More specifically large rocks grinding over one another, as though a giant sliding caveman door was opening, or two millstones slowly going in opposite directions…

Put some white noise through AD Grind, or through Bleass Fusion, or even just through a series of filters.

Hmm yeah I’ve tried distortion on filtered noise before but maybe wave shaping toe noise is a good tip 🤙

  • Just love stuff like this… cool!
