Any USB C earphones (NO earbuds!) suggestions?
Looking to find a reasonably priced set of USB-C earphones (no buds, thanks!) to be used for casual synth work. I have a USB dongle which has one USB C port left. I had heard that earlier USB-C connections didn't handle audio too well... hoping it has gotten better.

I use "JSAUX" USB-C headphone adapters from Amazon. They're cheap and they work great with anything with a 1/8" plug. My personal choice of headphones is Audio Technica ATH-M50x.
Hmmm - is there a 1/8" to USB-C adapter available?
Hmmm - at a buck-fifty, the ATH is WAY out of my league!
Yes, that’s what I’m describing above
Ah, well you should be able to get some on-ear or over-ear headphones cheaper, check out Koss and Skullcandy.
I got the official apple dongle, it's so thin, I put a lot of tape preventively on it and it works
Not a lot of wired USB C headphones out there. But I found these. I might get the for walking with my phone. I am tired of loosing my dongles.

I have a coupla those, and yeah -- the construction seems ridiculously disposable. As I recall, however, the price is still at that rarified premium Apple level.
Yeah that’s why I recommend the JSAUX brand off of Amazon. Braided cable, solid construction, and cheap enough that I can just leave one hanging at the end of every headphone cable that I might want to use with my iPad. The advantage of USB C vs lightning is that you don’t have to give a crap about “MFI certified”. 3rd party stuff works just fine, and these will happily drive high impedance headphones and run at 96kHz if you want. It’s basically just a little class-compliant sound interface
