When you’ve made a long sequence on Koala, is there a way to listen to the sequence from part of the way through, or can it only play from the start point?

Probably not what your looking for but you could resample the sequence then change the start point.

You can move the playhead by scrolling on the timer.

@_Ki made an AUM transport control Mozaic script that might apply for this use case too. It’s the most amazing Mozaic GUI I have ever seen with animations flowning in the PAD objects to show the time and bar details. He’s pushed Mozaic beyond its expected limits.

I hope something tests it with Koala and replies if it works to queue up sequences isn’t it’s “marks” feature. Maybe invoking his handle will get his input.

Within Koala (standalone) you can tap the playhead anywhere you want to drop in to listen to however I often experience strange “sample buffering” playback issues (stuttering / samples not playing back correctly) and the longer the sequence the more this seems to happen.

I’ve noticed though that if one taps Later than where you’re trying to listen then Back (earlier) in the sequence there’s much less of said playback errors.

For example if you’ve got a 24 bar sequence and want to focus on bars 9 - 13 tap the playhead past bar 9 then quickly back to just before bar 9. Hope this helps!

Hmm, i tried a setup with a long sequence (16bars) in Koala and Mozaics AUM Transport control script. But if i start AUM on bar 7, the sequence plays from its start.

When directly scrolling AUMs timeline (without using the script) as suggested in the screenshot above, Koala also restarts its sequence when skipping bars.

I checked if there is an option to ‚sync‘ Koala to the timeline, but found nothing in the settings. There are SEQ Sync options when tapping the tempo, but all of them still played the sequence from its start even when AUMs was started on a different bar.

Maybe this could be a feature request for a new SEQ option in Koala ?
