Fascinating new Cherry Audio synth (?): Harmonia
Is it a synth or not? This one is interesting. You play with the harmonics in samples they've preloaded into Harmonia and you can make fine-grained adjustments to achieve some very playable results. I think this one will quickly find its way into music, TV and movie production.

From their site:
The magic behind Harmonia lies in its two sample-based oscillators. Using techniques similar to those found in additive synthesis, each Harmonia oscillator can simultaneously produce up to eight pitches, individually tuned to a harmonic series or semitones. The volume for each pitch harmonic can be fixed or dynamic, and Harmonia’s unique interpolated harmonic scanning enables dramatic sweeps and melodious sequences through a single modulatable slider.
Harmonia derives its distinctive organic sound from hundreds of sampled waveforms recorded from various synthesizers, traditional instruments and voices, colorful “lo-fi” sounds, and more. User samples can be imported, further expanding Harmonia’s tonal palette. Producers can effortlessly create unique morphed and sequencer-like tones by varying the combinations of waveform selection and harmonic presets.
Harmonia reaches new heights by providing four syncable polyphonic LFOs, an expansive stereo multimode filter, click-and-drag envelopes, and a massive mod matrix with eight slots for dozens of sources and destinations. Harmonia includes support for aftertouch, flexible MIDI mapping, and a collection of over 350 breathtaking, professionally designed presets. Harmonia also has 17 studio-quality effects such as distortion, chorus, phaser, echoes, reverbs, and more - all fully modulatable through the matrix.
Note: I have no financial or other ties to Cherry Audio, I just like their stuff.

Observations: I've been testing it out on desktop using the demo today... It seems to do bells, Solina-style strings, some percussive sounds and some big evolving sounds quite well. It has a LOT of ways to alter patches, but on the surface it looks deceptively simple. It does not do fat, beefy sounds well, but if you want to really cut through a muddy mix, this one will do it. And I'm glad they built in their own limiter. You could really blow up your audio equipment without it.

They now have a demo video for Harmonia.
I‘m testing the demo too.
Interesting approach of sound design - it’s great fun - cannot say, if it ever can do something musical to me…
Here's the link to the User Manual, by the way: https://docs.cherryaudio.com/pdf/Harmonia User Guide.pdf
You interested me in CherryAudio more than any commercial did, haha. So now I must check all of their portfolio.
At last count I have 13 of their synths. They are so incredibly affordable compared to other soft synth companies, that was what first attracted me, but with monsters like their GX-80, one could easily see paying 3 or 4 times more for what you get and feel good about the purchase.
Synclaiver-ish take w/ more intuitive UI?
I'm liking it. The ability to load your own samples is awesome. The UI is too retro though overall intuitive.
Yes, there is definitely some similarity.
The clean UI is one of the things I like most about it. 😂
Great to see something original from these, no doubt they make righteous gear but it rarely sparks my interest…
