FAC Phazer Walkthrough, Review, MoogerFooger Phaser Comparison & Giveaway! (View in PORTRAIT Mode, See Pinned YT Comment)

Please note that, unusually for one of my long-form spoken walkthroughs, this video is best viewed in portrait mode!

How does FAC Phazer compare to the Moog MoogerFooger Phaser app / plugin? This vid is a detailed comparison, spoken walkthrough, demo and review. The giveaway: 3 people (1 on YouTube, 1 on Twitter, 1 on Insta) can win ANY FAC app - details can be found in the pinned comment, a lot with lots of other useful info, links etc

🔥 I put a link in the pinned comment also to my new Buy Me a Coffee page - it’s a great way to support me, and you can also find details there about booking 1-to-1 lessons / consultations to me. If you have been a fan of the channel for a while and have never donated, now is a great time to do so. Cheers! Gav

  • Good comparison. To my ears the FAC Phaser sounds cleaner and more h-fi, whereas the Moog is warmer and has a bit more character. They're both great, and I can see a use for either one, depending on the required vibe.

Cheers Richard - yes, they're both useful and lovely sounding phasers in their own way, definitely!

Can’t say yet, too early to tell!

  • Having just bought the Moog one, I’m not really in the market for another phaser (it’s not my favourite effect…). But what my inner nerd wants to know is how well the FAC one pings?

    The Moog one pings nicely.

What exactly did you use to ping the MF one? I’ll see if I can compare them (tmrw if I have time, bedtime now! Late AF here)

I was using clock pulses from the Clocked module in MiRack - it has variable pulse width, which affects the tones generated.
