more flute-n-effects, C# minor improv with drone, xiao, and whistle

Elements of possible interest here include

  • drone track created from the low note of the xiao processed in the Tardigrain granular synthesis app.
  • my first use of the MoogerFooger apps but pretty subtle here - just the MF-104S delay with a bit of chorus
  • Cascade reverb in a bit less subtle mode - quickly becoming one of my faves
  • Mixed n Cubasis 3

Darn, I love flutes so much, those frequencies never get old or boring. Beautiful performance, thank you! 🤩

    I agree. Thanks!

  • Can't go wrong with flute over drone, but not to take away from the playing.
    Beautiful, haunting, ancient yet timeless.

  • Very similar to the one above so I'll add it here instead of starting a new thread

This one uses one of the Cascade patches from @Pxlhg 👊🏻

Keep 'em coming. I don't always comment, but I always listen. This one reminds me a bit of:

Cool! I listened through speakers so maybe I don't hear it as it's meant but I thought the effect was very low, I love it when instrument and effect become a symbiotic entity. 👀 😁

Yes, it is relatively subtle. I have one more in this series for now. I'll see if I can make it a little wilder 😎

  • Last one in this mini-series. 4 instances of Cascade patches from @Pxlhg . Is that wet enough for you? 😎

Yay! Thanks for the patches. The whistle has all 3 of "Dbl. Cascade" patches as send effects

Ah, cool! Yeah they are an experiment with lining them up after each other on the same send bus, one driving the other and so on. One has to be quite careful and the settings are not a - 'one size fits all' sort of thing. :D

I'll have to try that later. This time they were all separate sends. I don't think you can "chain" send effects like that in Cubasis but it would probably work as inserts

Good one. It is self-orchestrating its own accompaniment.

  • Always nice to hear (and see) real instruments being played.
Thanks for posting these videos 👍
