Secret Level (Track built around two SNES patches)

I find the presets to be quite inspiring.
Without shame I use two of them on this little track, tweaking nothing on the Secret Level preset except for muting the delay, and on Ethereal Echoes I added Springs and maybe altered the sequence rate.

Made on SE2 with Drambo hosting Loopy Pro. Mastered inside Trinity.

  • Added a shortened video with special cameos 😃

  • Wow this sounds great! What are you using for the drums?

I’m a big fan of SNES Synth also. Some really great presets.

  • @Blipsford_Baubie

I was quite surprised when the drums kicked in I wasn’t expecting that.

    Nicely done.

  • Nice work!

  • Getting Roni Size Nu Forms vibes from this. And… The Bckrooms! Excellent :)

THANK YOU. The drums is simply me re-sequencing a couple bits from the Amen break –The Winstons Amen Brother sliced inside Drambo’s Flexi Sampler, with a touch of Dustbin and RX950.

For the other percussive sounding elements, same thing. A quick snippet of a snare or kick of the same sample, but processed thru Soundsaw or Combuster.
Yes, SNES have some great presets indeed!

THANK YOU. That is one of my many favorite attributes of Jungle—No rizers, just some well placed thunder.

    Thank you @bygjohn !

    Thanks for noticing Irena =D
Tonight while at work I will listen to Nu Forms in its entirety. Although I’m not familiar with that album yet, I have been listening to a couple of his dub plates along with others of that ilk.

Regarding you “backrooms “ comment, are you referring to the art? If so I used Wombo Dream and after five minutes ended up choosing my first prompt.

Also know, that years back I initially dismissed you and the other makers of noise around here. But this past year people like you, sevenape, and the other lot have me listening to sounds with a totally new perspective in mind. Thank you for that.

Hell yeah! Dustbin is an app I need to use way more than I do. RX950 is awesome though. Thanks!
