Dead Stars in the Dust Clouds - instrumental post-rock 🎸🎹🥁
Tracked and mixed in Logic. The guitar fuzz and distortion tones are from pedals, everything else was in the box. The Indie Rock Drummer in Logic did a great job with the post-rock feel, really adding to the dynamics of the track.
I'll probably add vocals to this at some point, but it works well as an instrumental.

Noice!🤗 I had not heard that term before (post-rock), will probably come in handy.
You're missing out on a whole genre of instrumental guitar music in that case, a couple of bands to check out:
Thanks, I'v heard the music (me like!) I just never heard that term/genre 😂
Great track, works well as it is indeed. A few melodic lines came to mind on the first 2 listens, there is definitely room for vocals !
Great choice of tracks ! I love this one:
Thanks! And Mogwai are pioneers of the genre, awesome stuff.
I lost sense of time listening to this, you are outdoing yourself with this piece. freaking magnificent, right up my alley of listening repertoire. Bravo! 🤩
For me, Mutemath is the best band from what I heard in the genre, but I never associated them with post-rock. Also Mogwai, a great band.
Thanks for listening and commenting, much appreciated 🙂
I’ve not heard of them, but that’s a great song. Not sure if I would classify it as post-rock, but it doesn’t matter. I’ll check them out.
Here’s a classic from the genre, and a beautiful, extended motorik jam. The song is roughly divided by a sort of distorted/broken sounding snippet. 15 or 20 years after hearing the song I dialed something into Turnado on iOs, and the same sound came back out, and I felt magical
The missing link:
I am liking this Dead Stars piece quite a bit.
Damn @richardyot you nailed the vibe 💯! Love this piece.
I just went on the Wiki post-rock bands list to see if there is any band that I listen to. I've seen a few known bands, only Mutemath is something I really listen to, but I never knew it was part of the post-rock genre.
Thanks both ❤
It's a gigantic genre, I've only really scraped the surface...
There's a playlist I dip in and out of occasionally (I haven't listened to the full 30 hours 😮):

@richardyot really enjoyed that - vaguely heard the term post-rock but wouldn’t have had a clue what it was 😂. Was waiting for the vocals to come in even though I knew it was an instrumental - plenty of space there if needed
Thanks! Adding vocals will be my next task.
Excellent. It stands on it’s own without vocals, but I would like to hear what you come up with.
Cool track. I enjoyed listening to this one a lot :-)
Really enjoyed this. While there’s room for vocals, I’d be tempted to leave it as it is.
Thanks all for listening and taking the time to comment 😍
I listened twice, I enjoyed the music but the whole which genre is it out of the 1000’s of available sub genres stuff just leaves me cold I’m afraid.
It’s either good music or bad music (to the listener) and this was good 👍
