EQ app and plugin that I can use on both iPadOS and MacOS
Pro-Q eq is currently a bit beyond my budget. So just getting that out of the way first.
I'm looking for a matched EQ app and plugin that I can use on both iPadOS and MacOS, mostly for ease of shifting between working on my iPad, and in Ableton Live.
What are the best options, Pro-Q not withstanding, that are available today on both platforms, and why are they the best options?

Consider both of these EQ plug-ins from Toneboosters: Equalizer 4 and MBC. They do slightly different things (which you will be able to see in YouTube demo videos, just look them up) AND they are both far more affordable than their competitor.

I use them both, depending on what I need done on iPadOS and macOS (separate purchases). I’ve never been unhappy with Toneboosters’ plug-ins.
Thanks, I'd been thinking about the Toneboosters EQ, as I figured the price was right, but don't know a whole lot about them. I'll go explore…
Maybe try blindfold eq, too. It's free on both platforms.
Thanks. I haven't heard of that one. I'll take a look.
AU3FX PeakQ, RRS HLF-3C, Nurack has a graphic and parametric EQ
Chow DSP Multi Tool has a couple of different EQs. Both for ipad and mac.
Thanks all, some helpful suggestions here.
Do any of these iOS EQ apps process real-time audio (coming in live, not from a DAW, so without noticeable latency), and have curves you can recall via MIDI?
Scaler EQ is available for MacOS, and coming for iPadOS. IMHO the beta for MacOS was pretty impressive - that is coming from someone who struggles to get a decent mix with standard tools in Logic or Ableton…

Moguai EQ provides a good balance between features and price. It has multiple bands with various filter shapes and a spectrum analyzer for visual feedback. Plus, it works between iPadOS and macOS.
