Sequencing Playbeat in a DAW
Hey Gang, possibly stupid question for any Playbeat users out there. How do you sequence Playbeat patterns in a DAW such as Cubasis or Logic? I've been using it in some projects that are just sketches at this point (in Cubasis specifically) so just utilising the one pattern but am now fleshing the track out so need to sequence the drums. My initial goto was to record the Playbeat midi which was fine however when I play back I can't see a way to turn off it's own sequencer and use it as a sound bank which always seems to play along with the DAWs transport. I think I'd read somewhere about midi triggering of patterns which would be better as it would allow Playbeat's randomisation functions to better do their things. Anyone doing that and have some tis or a tutorial to point to?
TIA!
