Valhalla SuperMassive Similar Plug-in for iOS ???
Does anybody know a similar effect Like Valhalla SuperMassive?
Thanks !!
Comments
You forgot the ? in your post title…
Nothing similar but you'll have fun with Rymdigare, FAC alteza and Blackhole. Rymdigare is the most original and interesting of them.
Also check out Phonolyth Cascade
I use Supermassive all the time on desktop. It’s epic.
I came here for the link.
Seconded.
But yeah as suggested above there are Alteza and Blackhole. Rymdigare too if you're looking for a fun experimental trip into outer space. There's also Stratosphere. Velvet Machine can also be used as a reverb.
yep, blackhole is pretty similar
Sean Costello , the Valhalla dev , gave a reasoned argument why he wouldn’t port his plugins to IOS -
IIRC believing the price of IOS apps to be too low , & it being unfair to his desktop users -
then in a generous covid inspired gesture he gave Supermassive to the world for FREE-
thus undermining his own previous argument it seems to me !! , so …..
how many here would pay $20 @? for SuperMassive on IOS ..?
maybe we could collect names & make a petition -
maybe he would be willing to port this -
he would be receiving a windfall of extra unexpected cash for a currently free product ,
rather than feeling he was losing money on his desktop plugins .
worth a try ? petition? signature of intent ?
Sean Costello (Valhalla) provided four of his algorithms to AudioDamage (EOS 2), so here you go!
The Free Audio Kit Rack Reverb also seems to use algorithms by Sean Costello at least when skimming thru the sources...

It's good to know that we have a few crumbs of Sean Costello’s magic on iOS. For example, ValhallaRoom alone has 12 unique algorithms. 😅
Anyone not willing to pay 50 bucks for a Valhalla plugin (on IOS) is just stupid.
As simple as that.
They come with excellent presets and it‘s sufficient to adjust the main parameters by a handful of bars on the main screen, quick and convenient.
If you want to tweak details, you can, but you don‘t have to.
Thank You All For The Suggestions And Sorry For Inconvenience To Some People I’ve Corrected The Topic 😊
Nah that’s a bit needlessly harsh. Some people aren’t able to or willing to spend that much on any app and that’s not even in the realm of stupidity.
Valhalla SuperMassive is free (with 18 unique algorithms)! 😅
It's fantastic to see the Free Audio Kit Rack Reverb incorporating Sean Costello's algorithms. His expertise ensures high-quality audio processing and a valuable addition to the audio community.
I’m iOS only so I can enjoy the Valhalla stuff anymore unfortunately. Would love to see him come to ios eventually though.
Let‘s keep it focussed on Sean Costello‘s argument, that he doesn‘t offer IOS versions because he doesn‘t want to cut his usual $50 fee.
(this could be interpreted as he might consider to offer IOS version if that price is met)
Which is very affordable for a 1st class reverb.
The „stupid“ attribute only applies to those who in fact want such devices, but complain because the charge is above $10. That‘s plain stupid.
Whoever doesn‘t want or need the Valhallas, may not know what he/she is missing, but that‘s an entirely different story.
Yeah I'd love to see Valhalla on iOS, and I would be perfectly happy to pay the same price as on desktop.
Stratosphere by Mani is very nice, based on the Strymon Big Sky https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/stratosphere-cloud-reverb/id1516751210
That, I understand. I do get annoyed with seeing people clamor for desktop devs to come to iOS and then when they do and they charge desktop prices, they get upset lol. See: the entire Pianoteq thread.
