I made an app to practice your instrument seriously
Hi there. I'm Quentin, the developer behind Loopfield. I published a small app, a few weeks ago, designed to assist musicians in managing their practice routines. I know that's not the usual business of this forum, but there may be some people playing an instrument beyond their ios apps/synth, who would be glad to have a tool to practice.
I'm actively seeking for feedback so please don't hesitate to share your thoughts.
iOS : Music Routine on Appstore
Android : Music Routine on Google Play
More Info :
I wanted a simple app to note my exercises and turn them into a daily routine. The existing apps did not convince me (too complex, often requiring a subscription). This app simply lets you create a list of personal exercises, with a tempo and duration. So when you find a good exercise anywhere on the web you can add it to your routine or save it for future use. It provides also statistics regarding the time spent on practicing.

Seems like a good idea. Could you perhaps elaborate on which features are reserved for the PRO iap?
Cheers
Thanks. I'll definitely give it a spin. My practice time tends to degenerate in to exploratory noodling and/or staying on the same one thing for the whole week. I feel like I do need something to force me out of that.
Probably you should add a mention to https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/53627/2023-ios-app-sales-discussions#latest
Not necessarily for me but glad you’re still developing! LoopField is a really great app
+1.
Good luck with it - nice idea. One for guitarists would be good I’m just thinking - get them practicing those pentatonic scales.
Wasn’t fully aware of LoopField. Will it fit in the effects slot of AUM?
Yes, it would be good to see a list of regular features and pro features.
It does but it’s IAA only. Still think it’s totally worth grabbing for the price. It’s a really fun app.
I wasn’t aware of Loopfield either. Does it export .wav to AudioShare?
I practice 8 nights a week as it is. 5 miles, uphill in the snow, both ways.....
;-)
You can’t record entire performances unless you screen record or record into Audioshare via AUM.
I guess what I meant to ask is how easy is the process to export .wav clips to AudioShare? Is export direct or does it have to go through DropBox or some other app?
You can export it directly to Audioshare, the files app, or any other app you need/want to.
I’m practising trumpet most days at the moment so I’ll give this a spin, there are things I’m sure I could benefit being systematic with like learning scales in all 12 keys.
You unlock all the features : unlimited number of exercises (limited to 6 otherwise), import/export, pdf attachement, and color themes.
Thanks for the support
For me, the key is to practice such exercise everyday with the metronome, gradually increasing the tempo each time.
Certainly seems enough to get a good idea. Thanks for the clarification
Hi, I've tried a few practice apps in the past and I'm pleased to see you have import and export options. I really like what you've done so far. I've got one query; I would expect to have a library of pieces/exercises (ideally that I could import) and would then load these into 'my routine'. I could then archive these when finished with. I would need to be able to search the library and archive. Is this sort of development or similar in a tentative roadmap or should I be using it in a different way. Thanks
The idea of the app is to let the user create his own routine based on exercises found on the internet or suggested by a teacher. I don't want to add too much content because individual users have diverse needs. The search feature will be added in future update though, as it would be really useful when you have a lot of exercises to manage.
