Everything’s Gonna Be Alright
This is a full remix of something I did a few years ago, before I discovered Pure Piano, MagicDeathEye Stereo, and a few other apps. It’s about a young father and his little girl. She gets scared, and he reassures her… don’t worry sweetheart… everything’s gonna be alright.

Great catchy lead melodies in this one, and I love the bass patch too. The hi-hats that bounce around the stereo field are also a great touch.
I like this mix a lot more than the original. MagicDeathEye Stereo, combined with a bit of panning , seemed to punch it up a notch. I appreciate that you noticed, but I’m not surprised You have a good ear for that sort of thing. Thanks for listening and commenting!
The various tones fly around in a wide range of positions and are wonderfully put together.
Above all, your mix is amazing!
Thank you so much. I appreciate you taking time to listen and your nice comment. Have a good one!
This song is great. The mix is really rich too, very clear and well arranged . That’s the level of quality I would strive for as a home producer.
Thanks for the compliment on the song. Regarding “home producers”, since things have gone digital, the distinction between home and professional has really become blurred. For years, me and my band mates struggled with multi track tape machines. The end result was okay, but never quite what we hoped for. It always came down to spending money in a downtown studio with an expensive engineer that knew his equipment. None of us had that kind of cash, so we just did the best we could. I’m really liking this new digital world. Thanks for listening!
Anytime, and I agree about the distinction. I had practically the same experience of trying our best and then finally needing a studio and engineer to cut demos as I wouldn’t rate my current level of production highly
I should clarify: I meant “as a home producer myself, that’s the level I would strive for.” I didn’t mean it to diminish your ability at all, or implied that you weren’t professional- I just meant as a non pro myself etc….
However, in light of macmillans post about digital life/social media, me struggling to get a grasp on iOS things, Im starting to think maybe my talent as a musician will remain analog, maybe it’s not in my wheelhouse(?) to compose, perform, and self produce, maybe I can’t produce even with digital tools being the same the professionals use, (but I’m going to keep trying for a little while longer. )
You could do professional tracks if you wanted, I think they are that good. I mean a lot of guys on here are amazing. That’s also why I dont want to post anything that I question production wise (just embarrassing really), I wouldn’t expect or want criticism of something I think needs work, especially with the YouTube tutorials , I should have elevated my knowledge . But you and a few others (like Jim JWM) definitely give me a new standard to follow
Entertaining mix carries the song along with catchy melodies throughout. Wow, amazing use of the stereo field which sounds brilliant through headphones. I was waiting for the vocals to come in as from your description it sounded like a story!
Awe this is so playful and lovely sounding.
You have such a gift for arranging, which seems to allow you for having fun and being creative with the mix process, as opposed to mixing turning into a big PITA.
I didn’t take that as demeaning, at all. It’s just true. Nobody has ever offered me money, so I’m just a home producer, too. Maybe somebody reading this will make an offer . I won’t hold my breath. In the meantime, keep writing original music and posting. I have received some great criticism from forum members and I always welcome it. Go for it!
It could be! I just set it up for free download on Bandcamp if you ever have any ideas for it. You may have to scroll down a bit to find it. I would be happy to adjust the mix to make room for some great vocals. If not, no problem. I’m still working on some prog ideas for a collaboration. Scaler 2 is amazing, but it’s pretty deep. I’m liking it and hope to have something soon.
Thank you so much for that. I deeply appreciate it. This is about my adopted niece, Olivia. She has been the inspiration for several songs - Olivia’s Song, Bundle Of Joy, and Acoustics In The River. The latter comes from a poem that she wrote for me. If you didn’t know better, you would think it was by Robert Frost. I posted it in the track if you are ever interested. Thanks for listening!
Wow, you continue to set the bar higher. When I realise that this is possible on an iPad it makes me realise how far I've got to go.... and mix and various interest holding devices aside, nice melodic phrases too!
Thank you! I especially appreciate the comment on melody. I need to work more on that aspect. If I had my piano it might be easier, but it’s at its new home in Florida. In the meantime, I have my trusty little stylus and the piano roll editor. I’m like the monkey at the typewriter. Eventually I’ll come up with something. Have a productive, musical day!
One of your best I think 🙏
