“Decade” - Logic Pro and emvoice melancholy pop track
Hi
This song is about someone who’s worked at a place for 10 years and realises that to be happy she has to make a change to her life.
For this one, I just picked a minor key and played around with some chord variations in `Logic pro’ - first time I haven’t used scaler or PM for a while. Started off as a very poppy 80s track (Going to release that version as a b side ) and then with the minor chords, shifted to more melancholic.
Played the lead using the poison 202 guitar patch - works great for working out leads. Then moved that across to emvoice in cakewalk and created the lyrics
For the video, used davinci resolve and used a combination of comic book ai generation and at the end some 3 second pika video generation based on the comic book art. The switch between 50s and modern art style is meant to signify the shift in the songs characters mood.
Hope you enjoy

I like it😆
Thank you
The one below is the demo track I created, more guitarry and different verse/middle 8 - which then turned into decade, when I realised that `Lucy was going to be a tough fit into the verse.
Interesting how you start with one track and then it evolved into another.
And this is the instrumental version of decade
The lead became the vocal track for Lucy.
I liked all three… I hope Lucy won’t be disappointed but I think I preferred the last one, perhaps push the lead a bit more to the front ?
yes, the guitar was louder on the first version I did, but when I brought in Lucy, I just used the lead as a guide, and toned down the guitar - but then forgot(!) to raise it up again when I did the instrumental. I'll probably release an updated version
thanks again
