Newbie koala question re samples

Koala needs a proper text manual. I can’t figure out if there is a way to copy samples into sequence without recording. Drag and drop would make sense but this is not a function. I have long samples and recording them into sequence would be painful.

    Double tap a sequence to access the piano roll where you can paint your long samples in

    Double tap on the sequence/pattern and add the notes to the grid/piano-roll, no need to record.
