New Name, Version, and Pricing Model for Easy File Manager!

Hi, everyone. Thanks to all of you who voiced your opinions regarding the subscription model I had for AAFileBrowser. I agree with you, and I appreciate your input.

I've updated the app and manual, and instead of a subscription model, there will be two IAPs for optional features that some of you may want.

The new app name is EasyFM - File Manager (EasyFM), featuring iCloud, local network, and WiFi drive support, file management, a browser and media streamer, audio editor, and media import/conversion/extraction/concatenation. Other functionality will follow soon.

EasyFM has been submitted for review and should be available soon on the App Store.

As an iOS developer and community member, I appreciate your input and support. Thanks to all of you.

  • It might be too late to mention this, but "EasyFM" sounds like a streaming audio product, not a file browser. "FM" typically represents "Frequency Modulation" or "FM" radio.

Thank you for listening to our feedback. I'll definitely be purchasing those IAPs to thank you and support your hard work.

Can't wait to try it, especially the spectral editor to remove pops clicks and and strings squeaks. If it works as good as @pbelgium described in one of his recent video, you deserve a medal ! To my knowledge, it is the first time I see this feature in the iOS world and I have been waiting for this for years. I hope the audio edition will be one of the IAP because I would feel really bad to get this for free.

  • Props and kudos for listening to the community! I think this app has a lot of potential, and I’ll definitely be investing. 👍🏻

  • +1
Much respect to you @anhnd101! I hope you have great success with the app. 👍🏼

... and 😝 to the complainers trying to shut down the feedback regarding subscriptions earlier.

  • Thanks @anhnd101. Looking forward to trying out the new app - I'll be investing too.

  • Cảm ơn bạn. Chúc may mắn.

  • I imagine that knowing in advance why it's called FM and what it is, plus the full name does say File Manager as well, that it's not an issue calling it that and searching for it, if you are searching in full,

though I clearly see the point that some people may very well assume it's something else, and that it can lead to other search results, (though that should surely be easily mitigated if you are searching easyfm file manager, no?)

Still preferable to "commander"! I never understood why that became the main name for very many file manager apps.

And it's a neat and tidy acronym.

Always good to have power tools.
    On the shopping list.

Once upon a time when MSDOS and then Windows 3.x. where modern operating systems, there was a very famous file manager called Norton Commander…

gotcha. thanks for plugging the knowledge gap

  • It's been a month since the post about a new submission to the app store. Is this a normal review period? Seems like a while to wait... and I've been waiting...
