Let It Rock

Made with FL Mobile + Koala + AUM + Atom 2 + VTines + Final Touch

The keys are VTines controlled by Atom 2 in AUM then resampled into Koala. I processed the kalimba sounds in the same manner. Not too sure what effects were on the kalimba. All sounds, including vocal samples, record static, drum sticks & bird sounds were then stitched together in FL Mobile. Next, rendered the wav file and imported into a new AUM session. Slight tweaking then mastered in Final Touch.

The video was a product of sheer boredom and depression. During that time I was recovering from Covid and felt very low. Feeling mentally, emotionally & physically drained, I turned to my number one coping mechanism: music & art. The music & its creation process served as a pick me up from the melancholy & pain. It served its purpose. As I recovered, I felt very creative. There was an undeniable NEED to be productive and create. 3 positive Covid tests later, I was back in a negative mood. For days I tried forcing myself to get up and leave the house to no avail. Slowly but surely I gained the strength I needed to move forward. Finally, my first negative test result. I was determined to make a video. The beat was playing on my long walk home from my most recent test. I was moved to hit record on my iPad.

By the next day, I edited the final footage on LumaFusion. Immediately I posted on YouTube only to mark it private a few days later. Today I made it unlisted and sharing here for honest feedback. Btw, if you made it all the way to the end of this long drawn out post; I salute you. I am slowly breaking out of the habit of not sharing and I will do my best to share with the world. Peace & love

  • Cool! Weird the video don't get published directly on this page, it usually does. Is it you in the video? These days one never knows with AI generated photage whatnot😁

  • Nice. Great mix of textures, effects, and unusual sounds that held my interest. Cool video that compliments the music. I’m glad you’re feeling better. You need to share this. Put it out there and remember that not everyone will like it… but a lot will. Play for them!

Thanks. I mistakenly posted as a hyperlink. No AI involved with this project 🤖. However, one day I would like to delve into AI in a creative way.

Thank you for the concern, well wishes & kind words. It’s been over a year since I created both the music & video. Maybe it is time to share more.

  • I like the abstract Lo Fi quality of both the audio and visuals here, the use of found sounds, the swing of it… very cool! :) Subbed.

  • @Svetlovska Thanks much. There’s something amazing that found sound provides to any project. I am still learning and am glad to have landed here

  • Glad you posted this one ! It's sounds great ! And yes! Please share more of your creations !
