  • It’s because you ticked the box on the form making the track private. If you change that to public, then click the share button, all you have to do is copy the full URL that pops up (don’t select the option to shorten it, that won’t make it embeddable). So this:

    Then this:

    Worked! Thank you @Svetlovska

  • I'll definitely have a listen once back home mate. At the auto repair shop getting my tyres and wipers replaced and my engine checked out. ❤️

Lots of nice things in this track. I like the way you're mixing electronic instruments with more traditional Arabic influence with both percussions (is it darbuka?) And the violin section.
It reminds me a bit of the music of the great musician and activist Rachid Taha, a very talented Algerian singer who mixed punk, rock electronic and raï music.
    Very solid track !

Thanks so much man. You are correct (darbuka and indeed Arabic)! Nice ear nailing both. I really appreciate the compliment- it is humbling High praise from an amazing artist !

  • I like it! I’m assuming you did everything in Drambo?

    Thank you!

No, actually I started to use Zenbeats 3 now because I needed a DAW to edit and do audio. (Drambo was used at the writing process start, in the sequencer for the S-1.)

  • Really cool theme and I was happy to hear a bit of acid bass toward the end. Nice work

  • Everything was mixed down very well. Nice punchy drums, just the right amount of bass, and a nice little bit of acid at the end. I love the creativity in your track. :) I also love the Arabic influences in this track. Absolutely a treat to listen to.

And yes I followed you on SoundCloud. I'm looking forward to what you create next.

By the way, which apps did you use? :) More specifically, which DAW (or DAWless) environment did you use?

Thanks man. I didn’t know what acid was exactly. I heard the term before but I looked into it and I’m glad it naturally came out . I’ll try to make it part of my sound now that I seem to really get good stuff out of the s-1

Thank you Jim, I will post more stuff up as I get more tracks done, and I think I might put up my stuff from 15 years ago just for fun

Instruments and apps: I used dRambo, surface builder, mini orchestra, TB EQ, TB Barricade, GF2, and everything else was the DAW, ZB3(drums, bass, side chain compression ). Last of all the Korg PA500 oriental (darbuka samples [home made , though this one I’m not sure if it was my cousin, father or someone else’s clip I snagged for the track I mean ] ) and my Roland S-1 … (I play darbuka and stuff but the korg is much easier )

That's absolutely fascinating! ZB3 seems to be one very competent DAW environment. :) I've tried to like it, but it's not for me personally. But I'm always inspired to see other people use it. And this track speaks volumes for just how excellent ZB3 is, even if I don't get on with it like I do NS2 and AUM and now Koala Sampler, lol.

  • Can’t believe you played that. That’s abdel halim, one of the greatest of classical oud and Arabic! I would throw some vocals over it but you u just set.a bar my Arab American accent can never replicate even if my vocals are ok .

  • I love the intro elements.

Thanks a lot man. It got a little wackier later, but I try to ascend with my progressions and then kind of descend at the end again. I do this not just stylistically but because I don’t know how to really do good audio editing (like cross fades and stuff )

Lol, almost no one here would be able to tell. Give it a try, bro!

    Editing-shmediting. I liked it BECAUSE it seemed…different.

  • Great mix of instruments, foot tapping rhythm, lovely stuff 👍

Thanks @GeoTony ; what an unexpected and wonderful compliment. Made my night! Thx!

    (And thanks Blipsford ;) )

  • Sorry I missed this earlier. I love the open, sparse arrangement, and the way parts come and go. I have to agree with @LinearLineman that some sparse vocals would sound great over the top. Nice track!

    Thanks Paulie.
You know I neglected that track after I got caught up with some life stuff. I will go back and add some this week now that I see the track isn’t “in repose” in the creations sections.

  • I just picked up GlitchScaper based on your feedback to SynthScaper. This is a great app and I can hear lots of possibilities. Thanks for the tip. Don’t tell my wife I bought yet another app! Then again, she knows exactly where I am at all times… sitting in my comfy chair making music.
