Samplr & LoopyHD
How is this combo? Anyone using it?
I was thinking this would be a cool way to build up tracks using samplr as apparently LoopyHD has excellent midiclock sync with samplr. Can anyone confirm this?
Also has anyone tried using LoopyHD as a midiclock conduit for external coremidi midi clock sync? Any good?
I'm really trying to find the holy grail of external clock sync for samplr
It's like Indiana jones up in here

Hehe, I know you've already seen this but this is a prime example of the sync between those two. It is not perfect by no means, occasionally sampler lags behind. This doesn't happen when you leave them running side by side for hours on end. More like when you use other apps and you swipe between them. It is quite noticeable when using the samplr's arpeggiator. Stopping and restarting in time with the beat cures this particular issue though. These two are a very powerful combo IMHO.
Let us know if you have any luck Indy....

Cheers for the input supadom, have you ever tried LoopyHD to control sync between samplr and an external midi clock from hardware or a DAW?

@supadom Awesome rig!
Cheers man. This rig is my little baby . I've been writing songs and played with bands for quite some time now, guitar, bass, vocals, percussion and love all sorts of groove based music from funk to minimal. With volatility of a full band set up I decided to focus on this plus a drummer and possibly maybe like a vocalist who can also play trumpet etc. I'm aiming at live performances and it is good for the audience to see movement on stage.
As for the rig, I could be doing it via midi sequencing route but I thing ios midi is still not mature enough for that and I'm not a huge fan of complicated set ups.
Supercool. I like that style a lot!
I just bought loopy yesterday to try and do exactly this. If I get to it in next day or two will try find this thread and let you know
