JWM - Under Construction (Industrial Noise Music Set to a Beat in Koala Sampler)
!!!HEADPHONE WARNING!!! (This is f-cking loud!)
As said in the SoundCloud description, I listened to a bit of Test Dept and became hooked on the sound. So I raided freesound.org for those industrial samples. Then of course to get it noisy af, I used various FX in Koala Sampler to get that clipping and grit into my beat.
Then I figured to set it to a sort of "Justice" styled LinnDrum beat where in this case, the industrial sounds switch around in time to the beat. And I can't believe it, this is the first track I've ever used a cowbell in. 😂 No, there won't be MORE COWBELL than what's already there.
Rather than try to explain what I did, here are screenshots from the Koala Sampler project itself.
Cheers and enjoy!

Noise disco! Boogie wonderland…
Thank you bestie! I had fun making this one and experimenting with noise music set to a beat.
There is a really good feel and rhythm, you can notice inspiration. More noisebell, haha! Glad to see your mojo live and kicking! 😎
Thank you so much mate. ❤️ I couldn't resist the noisebell for the beat. It fit that 80s vibe flawlessly.
You may just have created a new style of music. Happy noise.
Maybe so, lol. I may try another one of these atonal Noise tracks soon. I visit my auto mechanic tomorrow, not sure how long that'll take, but I'll be ready to start forming a track there on my iPhone.
Oh man this is excellent! Sorry I missed it the first time around. Absolutely love the drum sound and rhythm you have going here.
Also have you tried the freesound app? I haven’t tried it yet but it looks convenient. I’ve been using freesound more and think I may log into that for an easier experience. Also running it in Web Browser AU is great fun.
Thanks mate. ☺️
I didn't know freesound.org had an app. 😲 That can come in quite handy.
They do indeed! And it’s made by a great dev. I’m probably gonna sign into it tonight and see how it works.
Great track, mate. Like the Justice-y drum with an overall JWM stamp all over the track
Niceeee
Thank you so much mate. Cheers.
I like the new pic!
Thanks mate. I'm glad you left me a comment, even if this track is not your style, lol. That was back in April when I took one of my besties to the 7 Mile Fair down in Racine, and I found those shades and had to buy them instantly! Never saw a pair of shades like that before, and it makes me look a little cooler than I pretend to be. 🤣
How is life going by the way? Anything new for you? Or "same shit, different day" basically?
I'm really enjoying the hell out of Koala. Although ever since this track, I've tried a couple other experiments and didn't really care for them too much and felt they sucked. Think I may build up a Justice-styled track in Koala and see how that flies.
Haha not a fan of making the noise?
I love making the noise, or at least listening to it. 😂🤣 I may do something in Cubasis 3 later.
Well, this definite got me grooving. Nice work!
Thanks mate. Who knew Noise music can be more appealing with a beat? 😂🤣
I’m working on a noise-ish track in C3 right now! The tube amps really help with that lol
Cool!
