Heart Attack - Made start to finish with Drambo on iPad - Love to get your feedback!

This is the first song I’ve produced start to finish with Drambo on iPad.

AUs in this session:

MIDI FX:

  • DrumComputer MIDI fx to sequence drum samples in Flexi Sampler
  • Riffler
  • Scaler 2

Synths:

  • SynthMaster Player
  • Fabfilter’s Twin 3
  • TAL U-NO-LX
  • Imaginando’s DRC

Audio Processors:

  • Audio Master Pro to master live
  • MixBox for limiter

I made the drum sounds in Korg Gadget and exported them in one loop which I brought in to Flexi sampler for playing.
Transition sweeps and vocals samples are from Splice and pulled into Drambo’s sampler.

I LOVE DRAMBO!!!

Pretty big sound and pretty great melodies .. very good job !

  • This is cool. Nice one. I can hear the aphex twin influence here and there.

  • Thank you guys!!!

@gregsmith I had not heard of Aphex Twin until now. I checked it out. That’s a huge complement. Thank you!!!

  • Nice! Not my genre, but I did enjoy listening and you made great use of your scenes. Well done!

  • I believe I just became your 100th subscriber on YT. Because this piece of music is just f-cking sublime! It reminds me a bit of 2004 Tiësto ("Sweet Misery" off the "Just Be" album) and Ferry Corsten ("Right of Way" album). This is a compliment as I've been obsessed with pre-Kaleidoscope Tiësto for years.

  • Thank you for sharing. Nice track!

Thank you @dendy. Those big sounds are courtesy of newly released SynthMaster Player, TAL-U-NO-LX and Fabfilter’s Twins. Excellent synths with amazing sounds.

This means a lot coming from you @Edward_Alexander! I’ve been following the music you put out and it’s excellent.

@jwmmakerofmusic, Thank you for following me on YouTube! Now on to 1000 subscribers 🙂 I’m gonna start officially releasing more songs which I’ve been sitting on for the past couple of years. And YES!!! I’m a big Tiesto fan and have seen him live. When I got that big super saw synth sound it definitely gave me Tiesto vibes. Thank you for the complement!

Of course mate! Happy to follow! So are you also a fan of EDM Tiësto as he's evolved into? I like some of Tiësto's modern works, but felt he fell away from greatness from 2009-2014 when I heard "Wasted" and thought "Damn, that's cool".

Oh yes I agree. I grew up in the late 80s and 90s. His big sound was something special. He's influenced so many producers. I haven't heard his more recent stuff but I will check them out. I'm also a huge fan of Depeche Mode. I actually remade "Behind the wheels" with BM3 from scratch a while back.
