Really interesting, thanks for sharing @Jumpercollins.
The start of the clip (to around 5 min) shows essentially what I‘d do in SAW Studio, one of the very first „conventional“ DAWs.
But the dude‘s approach is refreshing
Great find. 90mins of YouTube vids later and I've subbed to my first Patreon and downloaded my first non IOS music/sound
software in ages - thankyou @Jumpercollins
@Telefunky - yeah initially I was like mmm ok neat (and he's fun to listen to) and then (carry on watching!) the idea of multiple nested, multiple macro clone/copies rendered in real time fascinates me - I'm not an appoholic - always been a software explorer though
This is a very exciting project, completely rethinking the way a DAW works, amaing for sound designers and experimental musicians. Really looking forward to seeing where he goes with it.
Looks like an absolute nightmare for production, but I’m sure there will be plenty of noodlers who may find the whole “deconstructed” approach interesting enough to spend time learning his system.
Not for me.
looks extremely interestin .. what a pity iťs not for ios …
Yah, I think DAW is being used very loosely / stretched thin here. Seems like more of an experimental platform for creative noodeling to then put into an actual daw. I will probably give it a whirl over Xmas break.
I've been messing with this a little bit, pretty fun and very ... different. There's an experimental noise function called Carnival which is very fun/weird and can produce some useful samples.
