Home (Orchestral Vox Mix)

Here's a new version of a song my Band did over 10 years ago.

I recently made an orchestral reworking of it with my friend and old band mate. This version is a mashup of the new orchestral instrumental with the original vocals and some of the original electro drums.

It's over the top slightly and a bit kitchen sink-ey. But I like kitchen sink-ey so no apologies. It was a bit of a pig to mix. I did my best ;-)

  • I would have loved to hear your band play this live. Not kitchen sink at all. Life is short. Go big or go home!

Haha yeah. I like ‘epic’ not gonna apologise for that

We did play this song live. At one point to an audience in the 10s!

I’m enjoying revisiting the old songs and making new orchestral versions and other remixes.

  • An audience of 10s, LOL! Been there myself. It was still fun. Maybe even more so than a large crowd. We invited people to come on stage and sing along. I miss playing. I can't complain. I had my five minutes!

  • Pretty cool. Our voices have a similar timbre at times, which felt weird to hear in those moments because it was almost like I was listening to something I made when black out drunk haha…also not to assume you’re the vocalist, so whoever did the vocals…sounds like me

Yeah I miss playing live too, even though I used to hide behind my keyboard/Macbook even when I was playing bass!

I didn't sing. We sadly lost our vocalist last year :-(
