JWM - Haunted House (Halloween Lofi HipHop Instrumental made in Koala)
Gotta make my annual Halloween track! However, unlike in previous years where I made EDM, this time it's Lofi HipHop. Instead of NS2, I used Koala Sampler! (Well, I did master it in Cubasis 3, lol.)

One thing of note - I produced most of this while spending 8+ hours by the auto mechanic, waiting for my car to be fixed, from the initial 8-bar loop to structuring it out. I did the live recording of the sections and mastering at home.
Makes me think of being at the mechanic. Got a kind of wrench here, oil change there type of vibe, with the end result of driving out with your engine now being haunted.
I guess my surroundings there did inspire the beat a little bit lol.

Thanks mate! I found this to instantly be my favourite Halloween track I made! Has those sinister qualities that don't translate well in the EDM genre.
One thing I forgot to say is I took some of the resampling techniques I picked up from a couple of unpublished Noise experiments and applied them to the foley fodder. 🤣
JWM... the opening breakdown at 0:30 into that luscious bass @ 0:35 had me. Also that ooohh that falls off @ 2:40 only heard once but, Wicked stuff.... great job

Once Koala Sampler got that bussing mixer and I could mix into a limiter, it's become my main production environment! Basically an MPC in my pocket! Simplistic but deep and easily accessible!
Indeed I crafted most of this track at the mechanic. 😃 It'd have been 8+ hours of boredom otherwise. 🤣 (I couldn't be faffed with wasting money on an Uber back and forth.) My 14 Pro Max truly is a masterpiece!

I absolutely love those ratcheting sounds, which is actually the sample of a door creaking interspersed with a sporadic drill noise.

I try to be versatile and a jack of all trades regarding beat-based music production as it's what I enjoy to make. Some producers aren't able to cross over from one genre into the next, where I'm a bit of a musical chameleon who can switch from one style into another between productions lol.

Yeah, don't sweat the ADHD brain. You have more distractions in your life than I do, such as a wife, a house to take care of, etc. I live in a studio efficiency flat which has no kitchen, just a crockpot, and have no s/o, so far less to maintain and distract me from my true love - music.
Haha luckily I have a super supportive wife who lets me have lots of music time
ADHD doesn’t discriminate though. I know people who have way less going on than me but still have it far worse than I do. The brain is crazy thing (sometimes literally 😂)

That's true. ADHD isn't a one-size-fits-all sort of deal. Much like Autism is a spectrum too.
