Getting Gadget and Cubasis to Sync Together

Hello. Does anyone know how to get Cubasis and Gadget to sync together? I tried IAA and AudioBus. It would be cool to use the transport controls on Cubasis. I don't know if it's possible, but FunkBox can do it.

I get Gadget to sync fine when using Cubasis and it's internal instruments.......with approx -23ms delay in Cubasis using Ab2.

As soon as I add anything else to Cubasis ala Alchemy or Stroke Machine, the gates of midi he'll open up and my ipad turns into an incompetent mess.

Not sure if this helps but they definetly sync perfectly well until another 3rd party app is introduced.......

.....the dissapointing thing is thats the only reason I introduced Cubasis :(

  • I don't know if there is a third party app.

  • They sync... I use IAA track and transport in Cubasis starts and stops both apps.

Midibus is a 3rd party app, but as I understand it you need to start stop from that app.

  • How did you get that to work?

    1.Opened Gadget
    2.Opened Cubasis
    3. Selected Gadget in routing Inter-App Audio

    ....didn't work

  • Did you set gadget to either external or auto sync?

  • Other way round Cubasis then Gadget but doubt that is the issue.

Have you set Cubasis to send clock and Gadget to sync external? Without those 2 set.. I doubt it works.

It works! You guys are awesome. Thanks!

Open Gadget - MIDI SYNC EXT

Open Cubasis - Setup - Send MIDI Clock

  • Tried it today with the preloaded settings and the transport start/stop worked, but no audio. I had to go back and delete the IAA audio track in Cubasis, close everything, and start again with the process. Apparently it doesn't keep the audio link after rebooting.
