Cherry Audio New Korg PS-3300 (1977) Emulation

edited October 2023 in Desktop

Not bad! What are your impressions?

And it's cool they also appear to be donating a portion of the proceeds from these sales to a vintage synth museum (if you're into the whole preservation of history thing):

Throughout October, Cherry Audio will be donating 10% of profits from its new PS-3300 synthesizer to EMEAPP, an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Customers purchasing through the Cherry Audio online store will also have the option to add a direct donation to EMEAPP at checkout. Read more about their collection, their mission, and how to add your support.

It’ll be interesting to see how it compares to Full Bucket’s free version:

I do like CA’s MS-20, it can be really nasty in a good way :)

I’ll defo wait for a sale though (and cherry audio’s MSRP are a sham. They literally never charge that price.)

Besides the free alternative, they're just about the most reasonably priced versions of synth emulations (not sampled) instruments available. I like the Full Bucket versions when they work. Sometimes they don't... and there's no one to complain to when that happens.

  • Man I hope they seriously consider iOS one day. Desperately need their plugins in my life.
